    摘要: This invention relates to an inertial filter 10 for filtering out particulate material in a fluid. The invention extends to a method of manufacturing an inertial filter 10. The filter 10 includes a pair of opposing baffle plates 12, 14 comprising a first baffle plate 12 and a second baffle plate 14 which are operatively in face-to-face abutment with each other such that the plates 12, 14 are in substantially parallel planes. Each baffle plate 12, 14 is in the form of a layered grille or grating in that it comprises a first (an inner) filter member 16 and a second (an outer) filter member 18. More specifically, the first baffle plate 12 includes an outer filter member 18a and an inner filter member 16a which are press-fitted over one another. Similarly, the second baffle plate 14 comprises an outer filter member 18b and an inner filter member 16b.

    摘要: Apparatus for treating water has a generally rectangular container for containing the water, the container having a clarification zone and a settling zone. An entry conduit extends along the container and receives water from a water inlet. Water outlet ports are distributed along the length of the conduit for directing water from the conduit into the settling zone. A water exit trough spaced across the container from the entry conduit and extending along the container receives clarified water flowing from the settling zone through the clarification zone. The top of the settling zone is open to allow access down through the settling zone to a sludge collection zone in the bottom of the container.

    摘要: A mobile fluid treatment system and portable fluid treatment apparatus are described. The portable apparatus is configured to be placed within a mobile tank of fluid for separating solids from the fluid and includes an upper portion, a lower portion, and a number of adjustable attachment members that can removably secure the apparatus to the side walls of the tank, thus allowing the apparatus to be moved from one tank to another. Furthermore, the lower portion of the apparatus can include a flexible hopper that funnels solids separated from the fluid toward a sediment outlet. The flexibility of the hopper allows the apparatus to fit in different sizes of tanks and further facilitates the break-up and removal of sediment from the apparatus, such as through vibration of the hopper due to the action of a sediment withdrawal pump.

    摘要: A profiled strip for the installation in honeycomb-like separator packages and a honeycomb-like separator package formed by a plurality of profiled strips are described. The profiled strip has two long base sides and two connection sides. It is distinguished by the fact that a single groove connection portion is respectively arranged at the free ends of the connection sides and a single tongue connection portion is respectively arranged at the ends of the base sides that abut the connection sides, or vice versa. By this, corresponding separator packages can be assembled very simple.

    摘要: The invention relates to a sedimentation basin for sewage treatment plants, the sedimentation basin separating materials such as sand, rocks or broken glass, from waste water, which materials settle by gravitational action. The waste water is introduced in the inlet region of the sewage treatment plant. The sedimentation basin is provided with flow guide walls having a wave or meander shape, a plurality thereof being disposed vertically adjacent to each other and parallel to the main flow direction of the sedimentation basin. The slowing of the flow caused by this arrangement results in improved sedimentation that occurs in an efficient and compact basin requiring less space.

    摘要: A separation tank having an inlet and an outlet and forming a low flow path and a high flow path, both conveying water from the inlet to the outlet. At normal, low flows, the water enters the inlet and passes through the low flow path having treatment chambers to remove, respectively, heavy materials and floatable materials. At high flows such as with heavy storm runoff, water exceeding a predetermined flow rate is conveyed from the low flow path into the high flow path where there are baffles to treat the water to remove both heavy materials and floatable materials. In optional embodiments, there is a filter/recharge chamber that may contain a filter and/or a groundwater conveyance system such that filtered or unfiltered water can be discharged from the low flow path through a groundwater conveyance system to groundwater, to the normal outlet, or both.
