摘要: Embodiments described herein include a method of making a tobacco extract comprising; (a) providing tobacco and an entrapment solvent in a partitioned vessel, wherein the tobacco and entrapment solvent are separated by the partition, and the vessel is configured such that the tobacco and entrapment solvent cannot contact each other; (b) flowing a supercritical extraction solvent through the vessel, wherein the extraction solvent and any dissolved substances can pass through the partition; whereby tobacco components are extracted from the tobacco into the extraction solvent and carried across the partition, wherein the extraction solvent contacts the entrapment solvent and tobacco components are transferred from the supercritical extraction solvent into the entrapment solvent.

摘要: NADES (Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents) isolated from natural sources for extraction purposes are tied to a plurality of potential uses. The extraction of natural products from various sources by these NADES show enhanced extraction abilities. The extracted natural products using the NADES of the present invention have uses as food additives, dyes/colorings, medicines, and other potential uses. Chlorophyll(s), lycopene(s) cannabinoid(s), and red dyes from a fungus are natural products which have been isolated by the NADES of the present invention. They have potential uses in food additives, as dyes, in medicines, and in other uses.

摘要: Some variations provide an automated system for solvent extraction of a feed stock to produce a botanical extract, fats, oils, or other desirable solute, comprising: an extraction reactor; a distillation unit; and a second-stage purge chamber or a second-stage purge process utilizing the extraction reactor itself. The second-stage purge chamber or process receives or holds the solid material along with a heated inert non-condensable gas and/or solvent vapor, to recover residual solvent contained in the solid material. Other variations provide a process comprising: feeding a raw material and a solvent into an extraction reactor; generating dissolved material in rich solvent and extracted solid material; distilling the rich solvent to generate purified product and recovered solvent; conveying the solid material and a heated inert non-condensable gas and/or solvent vapor into a second-stage purge chamber, or holding the solid material in the same vessel, to recover residual solvent; and recovering the purified product.

摘要: Stable liquid formulations dominant in cannabidiol (CBD) can be manufactured by a sequential process of purification to create a formulation that does not crystallize under a variety of storage and use conditions, and without the use of potentially harmful additives. For example, the formulation may be used in vaporization devices (i.e., electronic cigarettes) that typically require formulations to remain in a non-crystalline, non-solid, or non-partially solid state. The liquid formulations dominant in CBD may further contain other phytocannabinoids, including, but not limited to, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBC), cannabinol (CBN), and cannabidivarin (CBDV) in higher concentrations than unrefined and refined cannabis extracts obtained via existing methods.
