摘要： A topical aqueous antibiofilm, antimicrobial, and antiviral composition to disrupt biofilm to enhance the killing of microbial and viral particles in a way that prevents and reduces the severity of conditions and infections that are due to such microbial pathogens and viral particles is provided. The composition comprises a fatty acid chosen from saturated and/or unsaturated medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs: C-8 to C-12), saturated and/or unsaturated long chain fatty acids (LCFAs: C-13 to C-26), and/or their derivatives, salts, sugars and esters. The composition also comprises a solubilizing agent, preferably a cyclodextrin, which additionally synergizes the antibiofilm effect, and may be formulated for nebulization/inhalation. The composition further comprises chelating and enhancing agents, and either a neutral, acid or alkaline pH. The composition comprises skin and mucosal permeation enhancers, which improve clinical efficacy. The composition comprises additional antimicrobial and antiviral compounds that can optionally be applied concomitantly.

摘要： The present invention is of using contact lenses for photodynamic inactivation of germs, a product, and a method of treating fungal keratitis by applying the same. The contact lens is to continuously release a photoactive solution containing a photosensitizer such as rose bengal and hydrogen peroxide to the ocular surface. The photosensitizer would be activated while these contact lenses are applied and exposed to daylight or other artificial lights in the environment. After activation, the photosensitizer will produce singlet oxygen and reactive oxygen species to inhibit the growth of fungi, thereby treating fungal keratitis without having the patient experiences eye pain or discomfort. Moreover, since the photoactive solution excludes any antifungal agents, the contact lenses for photodynamic inactivation of germs of the present invention can not only improve drug-resistant fungal keratitis but also prevent the germs from developing antimicrobial resistance.

摘要： An oligosaccharide vaccine for specific prevention of fungal infections and a method for preparing the same are provided. The vaccine is formed by conjugating a sulfhydrylated protein with oligosaccharide. The sulfhydrylated protein is formed by introducing a sulfhydryl group (—SH) to a carrier protein containing a primary amino group (—NH2), and then is conjugated with the oligosaccharide to form the oligosaccharide vaccine under the binding action of a bridging agent. The carrier protein is a non-humanized protein, and the oligosaccharide is a chitosan oligosaccharide mixture and/or chitin oligosaccharide mixture. The vaccine has strong immunogenicity, can activate Th17 cell immunity, and can recognize and protect infections caused by fungi.
