Abstract:
A component useable with one or more tube comprises a body engageable with one or more external surface recesses of the one or more tubes. The component has a pair of jaws extending from the body for gripping an item. The component is configured, such that, in use, in a first orientation of the body relative to the respective tube(s) recesses, the component is movable along a length of the tube(s); and, in a second orientation of the body relative to the respective tube(s) recesses, the component is resistive to movement along a length of the tube(s).
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an equipment for winding medical tubing, employing automated, sequentially-arranged workstations (1, 5, 7) capable of operating simultaneously, comprising one or more conveying units (2), one or more bending units (3) for arranging medical tubing (10) in a U shape, one or more loading units (4), one or more winding stations (5) for winding medical tubing (10), one or more unloading units (6) and, optionally, one or more packaging units (7).

Abstract:
A fixing device is applied to fix a breathing tube which includes a free segment located outside a patient, and the fixing device contains: an adjustable collar, a connector, and a fixer. The adjustable collar surrounds a limb of the patient, and the adjustable collar includes a first part and a second part opposite to the first part. The connector connects with the adjustable collar, wherein the first part and the second part of the adjustable collar respectively insert through the connector. The fixer includes a base mounted on the connector and includes two arms extending outwardly from the base so that the free segment of the breathing tube is clamped by the two arms.
Abstract:
An acoustic line tracing system for tracing a fluid transfer system tubing line includes an acoustic receiver operably connectable to the tubing line and configured to receive the vibratory signal. The acoustic receiver includes a vibration sensor disposed to contact the tubing line and configured for detecting vibration of the surface of the tubing line caused by the vibratory signal, and an indicator producing at least one of an audio and a visual cue when the vibration sensor detects the vibratory signal.
Abstract:
An IV set and IV set system management device and associated systems and methods. The IV set and IV set system management device can include a body portion defining an opening to receive an IV set therein to couple the IV set and IV set system management device to the IV set. The IV set and IV set system management device can also include a plurality of protrusions extending from the body portion. In addition, the IV set and IV set system management device can include one or more recesses defined, at least in part, by at least one of the protrusions. The protrusions of the IV set and IV set system management device can be configured to mate with the one or more recesses of the IV set and IV set system management device, thus facilitating coupling of the IV set and IV set system management device with a similarly configured second IV set and IV set system management device.
Abstract:
An introducer for dispensing a flexible member such as a catheter has a receptacle extension having a plurality of sections. Some of the sections are configured to have their own given dimensions. The dimensions may be in the form of a given tapered conical configuration for each of the sections so that those sections each are adapted to only fittingly mate with the receptacle of a counterpart connector that has a configuration complementary to the given tapered conical configuration. The introducer is thus usable with connectors of different configurations.
Abstract:
A system for tracing tubing which forms a conduit from a source of infusion liquid to a patient by way of an infusion pump has a vibration generator manually operable by a user to generate vibrations at an origin location along the tubing, wherein the vibrations are propagated by the tubing and have a vibration signature. A vibration sensor arranged at a destination location along the tubing receives the vibrations and generates a digital vibration signal. Signal processing circuitry connected to the vibration sensor processes and evaluates the digital vibration signal to determine a trace status of the tubing between the vibration generator and the vibration sensor. An indicator connected to the signal processing circuitry provides an indication of the determined trace status. Trace status possibilities include clear, cross-over, and null. A likely number of cross-overs may also be indicated.
Abstract:
A urinary catheter system includes a catheter, a sheath, an enclosure and a plug. The catheter has distal and proximal ends. The sheath is slidable along the catheter between first and second positions. The enclosure encloses a majority of the catheter and includes a bottom member, a top member, an outer peripheral wall defining an outer hole to allow advancement of the distal end, and an inner peripheral wall defining an inner hole, where the catheter is extendable through the inner hole. Rotating the top or bottom member relative to the other member causes the catheter to wind within the enclosure. The plug can seal the proximal end to block liquid flow, and a user can disengage the plug to allow liquid flow.
Abstract:
A feeding tube clip has a first tube clasp. The tube clasp has a truncated cone shape with an opening along a length of the truncated cone shape. A frame has a first end and a second end. A clip end connector is attached to the second end of the frame. The clip end connector forms a groove perpendicular to a length of the frame. A clip end has a second tube clasp perpendicular to a mating slot. The mating slot mates to the clip end connector. The mating slot has an opening that aligns with the hole of the clip end connector. In addition a stop clip may be used to engage the clip end. The stop clip has a peg that inserts into the hole of the clip end connector and the aligned opening of the clip end. The stop clip ensures a very strong secure connection.
