Abstract: Described herein are microelectrode devices to provide localized neural recording or neural stimulation to a neurological target. The device includes a plurality of electrodes disposed along the shafts of deployable flexible pins. The deployable flexible pins are enclosed within an elongated probe shaft and can be expanded from their enclosure. Additionally, a specifically manufactured outer housing can be coupled to at least a portion of the elongated probe shaft. During deployment of the flexible pins the outer housing of the microelectrode device reduces friction between the flexible pins and the probe shaft and reduces delamination of the flexible pins during deployment.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using virtual reality content as therapeutic treatment of psychological, psychiatric or medical conditions of a user are provided. The system may comprise a VR device for displaying the VR content to the user and one or more biometric monitors for monitoring the user's biometrics before, during and/or after exposure to the VR content. The system may further include a processor and one or more modules for analyzing the user's biometrics. The method may include the steps of measuring the user's initial biometric data, exposing the user to selected VR content, measuring the user's biometric data during and/or after exposure to the VR content, analyzing changes in the user's biometric data resulting from the selected VR content, determining whether the selected VR content as a positive effect on the psychological, psychiatric or medical condition of the user.

Abstract: There is provided a computer implemented method for adapting a neurofeedback treatment, comprising: receiving at least one patient brain state parameter indicative of a current brain state of a patient for application of a neurofeedback treatment; correlating the at least one patient brain state parameter with a set of neurofeedback treatments from a plurality of neurofeedback treatments stored in a dataset; iterating for members of the set of neurofeedback treatments: selecting one neurofeedback treatment from the set of neurofeedback treatments, wherein in each iteration another neurofeedback treatment is selected; administering the one neurofeedback treatment to the patient; calculate an effectiveness parameter associated with the one neurofeedback treatment administered to the patient based on measured outputs of at least one brain signal outputted by at least one sensor sensing the head of the patient; and designating an effective neurofeedback treatment according to the measured effectiveness parameter.

Abstract: A head mounted display (HMD) system includes an HMD device worn on a head of a user. The HMD device incorporates electroencephalography (EEG) interfaces for monitoring the brain of a human subject during interaction with the HMD device. Fluctuations in electrical potential that are observed via the EEG interfaces may be used to detect event-related potentials (ERPs). The HMD system may programmatically perform one or more operations in response to detecting ERPs. The HMD system may further include off-board devices that communicate with the HMD device over a wireless communications network.

Abstract: A method and system for neuro-feedback training are disclosed. According to certain embodiments, the method may include receiving, by a processor via a communication network, a brainwave signal measured by at least one sensor attached to a user. The method may also include determining, by the processor, a frequency distribution of the brainwave signal. The method may also include determining, by the processor, a first value indicative of an amount of the brainwave signal within a first frequency band. The method may also include generating, by the processor based on the first value, a first control signal to actuate a target device wirelessly connected to the processor. The method may further include transmitting, by the processor via the communication network, the first control signal to the target device.
