摘要: The invention relates to a method for monitoring and/or evaluating the topographical positioning of a toric intraocular lens (14) during an operation on a human eye, by means of which the toric intraocular lens (14) is inserted into the human eye and is intended to be brought into its desired end position, the method comprising the following steps: determining at least one axis (7) of an astigmatism to be corrected of a cornea (1) of a human eye, in particular the axis (7) of the plane (2) of incidence of the strongest light refraction and/or the axis of the plane (3) of incidence of the weakest light refraction; and presenting the target axis (18) for the preferred axis (17) of the toric intraocular lens (14) relative to the determined axis (7) of the astigmatism in an electronic display device (19) of an apparatus (21), such that the movable toric intraocular lens (14) can be topographically situated and brought into its desired end position on the basis of the presentation. The method solves the problem of correctly situating and orienting a toric intraocular lens relative to a light-refracting object. The problem is also solved by an apparatus (21) for carrying out the method.

摘要: A method and system for determining visual related physical conditions of a user of a display device, determined from the user's responses to a selection of visual-tasks. A dataset is provided for correlating the user's responses with the corresponding scores, so that by measuring the degree of correlation between the user's scores and a predetermined combination of the corresponding scores, the user's visual physical condition can be determined. A system is also provided, including a user device as well as a remote server for providing visual acuity and related testing to detect certain vision deficiencies and visual related physical conditions. In addition, a user device application is provided.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments may include a device, system and method for providing a low cost device that can measure refractive errors very accurately via attachment to a smart phone. A disclosed device may use ambient light or a light source in simulating the cross cylinder procedure that optometrists use by utilizing the inverse Shack-Hartman technique. The optical device may include an array of lenslets and pinholes that will force the user to effectively focus at different depths. Using an optical device, in conjunction with a smart phone, the user first changes the angle of the axis until he/she sees a cross pattern (the vertical and horizontal lines are equally spaced). The user adjusts the display, typically using the controls on the smartphone, to make the lines come together and overlap, which corresponds to bringing the view into sharp focus, thus determining the appropriate optical prescription for the user.

摘要: In a method for providing optotypes for determining distance visual acuity, a test subject position is provided for a test subject and a display surface at a display position. An individual test distance between the test subject position and the display position is, for example, detected automatically. An individual target variable is determined for optotypes which are matched to the detected individual test distance according to a predetermined role. Digital optotype image data are provided which contain optotypes scaled to the individual target variable. The digital optotype image data are displayed on the display surface.
