    Abstract: A broadcast message may be initiated or received at a peer node. The node obtains an uplink bandwidth available for broadcasting the message over the network and a number of copies that can be broadcast based on the available bandwidth. The node determines a range of key values for finger nodes that should receive copies of the broadcast message from a finger table. The finger table entries include references to finger nodes and key values associated with the finger nodes. The node determines which other nodes should receive copies of the broadcast message from range of key values and the number of copies. The node also determines an End ID for each recipient node. A copy of the broadcast message and corresponding End ID is sent to a finger node if the finger node's key value is within a range of key values specified by the End ID.

    Abstract: A radar sensor configured to control detonation of a munition is described that includes a radar transmitter comprising a radar transmit antenna, a radar receiver comprising a radar receive antenna, and a leakage cancellation unit. The leakage cancellation unit is configured to cancel effects of an antenna leakage signal transmitted by the radar transmit antenna and received by the radar receive antenna. To cancel the effects of the leakage signal, the leakage cancellation unit is configured to provide a signal to the radar receiver that is substantially out of phase with the leakage signal received by the radar receiver.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling multiple application programs to control a system's physical resources by way of multiple resource proxies, while still enabling exclusive control of the physical resource by one application program. Control tokens are used to limit control to one proxy. The proxy having the control token is tracked in an access control list. Java API methods that can alter the state of a physical resource are marked with an access control attribute during grinding. A resource management module intercepts API methods attempting to obtain control of the physical resource. If a proxy controlled by the application program invoking the intercepted method has control the method is allowed to use the proxy to control the physical resource.

    Abstract: In a motor vehicle driveline having an automatic transmission driveably connected to a transfer case whose output is continually connected to a first output, a clutch, selectively engaged in response to a control signal, driveably connects a second output to the first output. A digital computer continually monitors the occurrence of a change of clutch slip, input torque and a torque rate change to control the torque transmitted by the clutch to the second output. The control causes the clutch to transmit torque to the second output having a constant fraction of the input clutch torque and another portion that is proportional to the clutch slip. This result simulates the torque slip characteristics produced by transfer case having both a center differential mechanism and a viscous clutch.
