    Abstract: A circular-linear polarizer includes a waveguide and a one quarter wave length plate which is installed on the inside wall of the waveguide. The surfaces of the waveguide and the one-quarter wave length plate forming the junction between them are flat. Alternatively, the one quarter wave length plate has a mounting surface for mounting on the inside wall of the waveguide. The mounting surface has a circular cross section which is complementary to the circular inside cross section of the waveguide.
