Abstract: The present application discloses an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunosensor. The ECL immunosensor includes an electrode modified by a nanocomposite comprising a mixture of carbon nanochips (CNCs); iron oxide (Fe3O4); and nafion (NAF). The electrode is a screen-printed electrode which further is a carbon screen-printed electrode (SPE). The carbon screen-printed electrode (SPE) is a mesoporous carbon screen-printed electrode (SPE). Ru(bpy)3Cl2.6H2O is a luminophore and TPrA is a coreactant of the luminophore.

Abstract: The present application discloses an electrochemiluminescence immunosensor. The immunosensor includes an electrode functionalized by a nanocomposite film. The film further includes carbon nanohorns dispersed in Nafion® perfluorinated resin solution. The polymeric solution is further stabilized by magnetic nanoparticles. The immunosensor is a Point of care (POC)-based. The immunosensor is configured to work in the range from 100 ng/mL to 1 fg/mL, and has tendency to detect even traces of the tropomyosin. The immunosensor is capable to detect traces even less than 1 fg/mL, hence having high specificity for Tro-Ag detection in food products with distinguished repeatability.

Abstract: Present invention disclosed a novel method for detecting and quantifying target DNA from the biological sample. It provides a method of amplification of DNA sequences with loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and its easy and accurate detection and quantification by electrochemiluminescence (ECL) technique. The target LAMP DNA is bound electrostatically with [Ru(bpy)3]+2 on the carbon electrode surface, and an ECL reaction is triggered by tripropylamine (TPrA) to yield luminescence. This is a highly sensitive strategy for the detection of sequence-specific DNA from different biological samples at picogram levels. The target DNA of Sus scrofa (pork) meat was detected as low as 1 pg/μL (3.43×10−1 copies/μL) and for Bacillus subtilis DNA samples the detection limit of 10 pg/μL (2.2×103 copies/μL) was achieved.

The immunosensor includes nanocomposite of gold nanoparticles, single-walled carbon nanotubes, quantum dots, and chitosan. The immunosensor can also be used for the ECL based detection of other biomarkers and biomolecules, such as Immunoglobulin A and dopamine.

Abstract: A rapid, sensitive and cost-effective process of detection of porcine contamination in a food product sample is provided herein. The present invention further provides a real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) based process which uses highly specific oligonucleotides primers and ZEN™ probe, and a kit that contains the primers and/or probe useful for rapid detection of porcine DNA in a food sample. The oligonucleotide primers disclosed in the present invention provide amplification of the target gene porcine (Sus scrofa) mitochondrial 12S ribosomal RNA gene in highly sensitive and specific manner showing no cross amplification.
