摘要： An array of cosmetic compositions intended to camouflage imperfections on human skin in a targeted manner is provided. The array includes two or more different cosmetic compositions, each cosmetic composition having a metal oxide. The different cosmetic compositions each have an L* value within the range of from about 60 to about 90. In addition, one or more of the cosmetic compositions from the array will effectively camouflage imperfections on a consumer's skin if they have an average skin L* value between 35 and 75.

The bio-based acrylic acid is produced from hydroxypropionic acid, hydroxypropionic acid derivatives, or mixtures thereof. The purification includes some or all of the following processes: extraction, drying, distillation, and melt crystallization. The produced glacial or crude acrylic acid contains hydroxypropionic, hydroxypropionic acid derivatives, or mixtures thereof as an impurity.

The pigmented cosmetic composition can comprise a particular set of L*C*h* values such that when deposited onto tonal imperfections, it can result in natural, flawless looking skin, while still remaining substantially undetectable to the naked eye.
