Abstract: First pulse width modulation control is a control of generating a first pulse width modulation signal for a plurality of switching elements by comparison of modulated waves of voltage commands in phases based on a torque command for a motor with a carrier voltage, and performing switching of the plurality of switching elements. Second pulse width modulation control is a control of generating a second pulse width modulation signal for the plurality of switching elements based on a modulation factor of a voltage and a voltage phase based on the torque command and the number of pulses per unit period of an electrical angle of the motor, and performing switching of the plurality of switching elements. An electronic control unit is configured to switch the plurality of switching elements between the first pulse width modulation control and the second pulse width modulation control at irregular time intervals.

Abstract: A driving device includes a motor, an inverter configured to drive the motor by switching a plurality of switching elements, and an electronic control unit configured to set voltage commands of phases according to temporary voltage commands of the phases based on a torque command of the motor and perform switching control of the switching elements by generating PWM signals for the switching elements by using the voltage commands of the phases and a carrier voltage. The electronic control unit is configured to switch a method of setting the voltage commands between a first method and a second method for each irregular time interval. The first method is a method of setting the voltage commands without superposing harmonics to the temporary voltage commands, and the second method is a method of setting the voltage commands by superposing the harmonics to the temporary voltage command.

Abstract: The present invention minimizes system loss during execution of intermittent boosting. A boost converter control apparatus has: a target value setting device for setting a target value of output voltage that minimizes a loss of a power supply system including a DC power supply, a boost converter, and a loading apparatus; an intermittent controlling device for executing an intermittent process of boost control in such a manner that the output voltage is maintained in a range including the set target value; an average value calculating device for calculating an average value of the output voltage in an execution period of the intermittent process; and a target value correcting device for correcting the set target value to reduce a deviation between the calculated average value and the set target value.

A control apparatus for controlling a boost converter that can boost power supply voltage by boost control has: an intermittent controlling device for executing the intermittent boosting in such a manner that output voltage is maintained in a voltage variation allowable range including a target value on the basis of the detected output voltage of the boost converter; an average value calculating device for calculating an average value of the output voltage in an execution period of the intermittent boosting; and a target value correcting device for correcting the set target value to increase it when the calculated average value is less than the target value and is less than a required voltage value of a loading apparatus.

Abstract: A vehicle includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to limit execution of the second PWM control when an abnormality occurs in the rotational position sensor.

Abstract: A converter is capable of using two power sources located on a first side by switching connection of the two power sources between series connection and parallel connection. Under certain conditions, such as when a detected atmospheric pressure is lower than a predetermined value, frequency of use of the two power sources in series connection is reduced in the converter. It is thereby possible to prevent generation of excessive voltage by the power converter.

Abstract: When an absolute value of a rotation speed change rate of a motor is equal to or less than a threshold and an absolute value of a torque command change rate of the motor is equal to or less than a threshold, a switching angle is changed by cyclically changing a pulse type or the number of pulses as change in a pulse pattern. With this, respective order components of harmonics are dispersed, whereby it is possible to reduce the degree of prominence of a specific order component in harmonics relative to other order components.
