摘要: Disclosed herein is a medical elongated body including: a first channel through which a first liquid flows; a second channel through which a second liquid different from the first liquid in liquid composition flows; a mixing section at which the first channel and the second channel join and in which the first liquid and the second liquid are mixed; a gas channel through which a gas flows; a gas mixing-in section adapted to mix the gas into at least one of the first liquid flowing through the first channel and the second liquid flowing through the second channel or into a liquid mixture formed by mixing in the mixing section; a foaming member adapted to convert the liquid containing the gas mixed therein to a foamed material to be discharged; and a discharge port through which the foamed material to be discharged is discharged.

摘要: A medical device includes a cover member and a holding member. The cover member includes: an accommodating section so provided as to be able to accommodate either one of a right lung and a left lung of a living body and freely deformable according to inflation and deflation of a lung which is accommodated in the state of accommodating the lung therein; and an opening through which the lung is introduced into the accommodating section. The holding member is provided at the opening of the cover member, deforms the aperture shape of the opening by having its oppositely located arbitrary portions brought closer to or away from each other, and so functions that the aperture area of the opening is thereby held constant before and after the deformation.

摘要: A method of removing/retrieving calculus in a ureteral lumen involves moving a ureteral plug part along the ureter lumen to position the ureteral plug part between the calculus and the kidney. The method additionally includes occluding the ureteral lumen at a location at which the ureteral plug part is located, and introducing fluid into the ureter lumen at a point between the location of the occlusion and the calculus so that the fluid washes the calculus toward the bladder. Another aspect involves a method in which an drainage tube is positioned in the ureteral lumen so that a ureteral plug part and an irrigation port are positioned distally of the calculus while an operation part of the drainage tube is positioned proximally of the calculus. The method includes occluding the ureteral lumen, washing the ureteral lumen, and releasing the occlusion and uncoupling the operation part from the ureteral plug.

The adhesion promotion device has a main body portion disposed between biological organs serving as a joint object. The main body portion has a first region and a second region formed along an outer edge of the first region. The second region includes an adhesion promotion portion that promotes adhesion of a biological tissue. The first region includes a holding portion having a holding force with respect to the biological tissue which is stronger than that of the adhesion promotion portion.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a medical instrument used for harvesting biological tissues of a predetermined biological organ and a medical system. The medical instrument includes: a main body portion that has an elongated shape and has a distal part having a helical groove formed in an outer surface, a fluid lumen through which fluid is allowed to flow and pass, and a through-hole communicating with the fluid lumen and the outer surface of the distal part, at least part of the distal part being stuck into the biological organ; and a tubular member that has an insertion lumen into which the main body portion is inserted movably in axial direction and forms a gap through which fluid is allowed to flow and pass between the main body portion and the tubular member in a state in which the main body portion is inserted in the insertion lumen. The medical system includes: the medical instrument; a fluid supply unit that supplies a fluid into the fluid lumen of the main body portion; and a fluid drawing unit that draws the fluid existing in the gap.

摘要: A biopsy system includes a tomographic image pick-up device which is insertable into a living body to pick-up a tomographic image of a bioptic target part in the living body to be subjected to biopsy, a guide wire configured to puncture the bioptic target part in the condition where the tomographic image obtained by the tomographic image pick-up device is being observed; and a biopsy device which is inserted along the guide wire to the bioptic target part in the living body after withdrawal of the tomographic image pick-up device out of the living body and by which tissue of the bioptic target part is sampled. The guide wire remains in the living body in the state of puncturing the bioptic target part even after the withdrawal of the tomographic image pick-up device.
