    摘要: An optical filter 4 is placed in an optical path between a light source unit 1 using a deep ultraviolet LED as a light source and a sample cell 2. The optical filter 4 is a shortpass filter that allows passage of light of a main peak located within a deep ultraviolet region while blocking light of an unwanted peak located within a visible region. The temporal change in the amount of light of the unwanted peak is considerably greater than that of the main peak. The optical filter 4 blocks the former light whose amount considerably changes with time. As a result, the influence of the noise and drift originating from the LED on the detection signal obtained in a detector 3 is dramatically reduced, so that the analytical accuracy is improved.

    摘要: Measurement light is cast from a light-casting unit into a flow cell. The light is repeatedly reflected at an outer surface of the flow cell. A detecting unit including a connecting element and a photodetector element is provided in contact with the outer surface of the flow cell. Since the connecting element is made of a material whose refractive index is higher than that of the wall of the flow cell, the light is extracted from the flow cell at the contact position of the connecting element, to be detected by the photodetector element. A shift of the attachment position of the detecting unit along the axis of the flow cell changes the optical path length of the measurement light. A high-sensitivity absorption measurement can be performed by controlling the optical path length by merely changing the attachment position of the detecting unit, without replacing the flow cell.

    摘要: A passage (3) for a sample solution is formed in a sapphire base body (2) used as a substrate for semiconductor devices. An LED (4) and a photodiode (5) are formed on the base body (2) by a semiconductor manufacturing process so that they face each other across the passage (3). The LED (4) emits light into the base body (2). This light is transmitted through the sample solution in the passage (3), undergoing absorption according to the concentration and other properties of the solution. The transmitted light passes through the base body (2) and reaches the photodiode (5), producing a detection signal corresponding to the incident light amount. Since the light source and photodetector are integrated with the base body (2) serving as a flow cell, the present device is small and lightweight. Furthermore, no cumbersome task of aligning optical axes in the device-assembling process is needed.

    摘要: Provided is an optical analyzer for performing a feedback control on the amount of light emitted from an LED as a light source, in which the configuration of an optical system is made simple and the degree of freedom in optical system arrangement is secured. An optical member 2 for focusing most of light while discharging part of the light as unfocused light is provided on an optical path from a light casting unit 1 to a sample cell 3. The optical member 2 can be achieved with a simple configuration, for example, two ball lenses spaced apart by a predetermined distance from each other. The light focused by the optical member 2 is cast as measurement light into the sample cell 3. Meanwhile, a second photodetector 5 is arranged at a position where the unfocused light reaches. The second photodetector 5 generates a detection signal in accordance with the amount of light that has entered the second photodetector 5 as monitored light, and a drive current to be supplied to an LED is controlled through a drive current controlling unit 6 and a current source 7 such that the amount of light is maintained at a fixed level.

    摘要: A degassing device 2 includes: a built-in absorbance measurement section 28 using an LED light source and measuring the intensity of light transmitted through a mobile phase passing through a flow cell; and a solenoid valve 26 switchable between two states with and without the mobile phase passed through a degassing tube 21. The passage-switching operation by the solenoid valve is performed so as to obtain detection signals of the transmitted light in the absorbance measurement section when the mobile phase drawn from a mobile phase container by a liquid-feeding pump 40 is passed through the degassing tube for degassing as well as when the mobile phase is not passed through the degassing tube for degassing. A signal processor 29 calculates the difference in absorbance based on those detection signals, estimates the degree of degassing based on that difference, and displays the result on a display unit 32.
