Abstract:
A system and method are provided for displaying a web content, which enables a web content to be conveniently used on multiple screens and provide interactions among multiple screens. A first electronic device may receive web data from a content provider and generate a main DOM tree. The first electronic device may divide and transmit data relating to an expansion element from the web data to a second electronic device that generates an expanded DOM tree, processes the expanded DOM tree, and displays the same on a screen of the second electronic device. The second electronic device may detect a user input and identify whether an event for detecting the user input is included in the main DOM tree or the extended DOM tree and if the event is included in the main DOM tree or the extended DOM tree, the second electronic device may transmit the event to the first electronic device.

The apparatus includes a message controller configured to check contents included in a push message, determine a template of the push message in relation to the contents, and generate a content message by using the contents and the template, and a message communication unit configured to receive the push message from a service server, and transmit the content message to an electronic device.

A method and an apparatus for displaying a video in an electronic device are provided. The method includes extracting at least one key frame from at least one video, and determining whether there is a portrait frame containing person information among the extracted at least one key frame. If there is the portrait frame containing the person information, the apparatus displays the portrait frame containing the person information as a representative image of the at least one video.

A method and an electronic device for providing media content-related information are provided. The method includes decoding the media content when an input for playing the media content is received, obtaining sample data from audio data created from the decoded media content, searching through database to find music data having a substantially similar data pattern in comparison with the sample data, and acquiring information related to the found music data.

A method for automatically synchronizing two different electronic devices is provided. The method includes when a user event is detected in a first electronic device, performing the user event; and generating status information corresponding to the user event, and transmitting the status information to a second electronic device to thereby request synchronization of the second electronic device.
