Abstract: A system and method are provided for displaying a web content, which enables a web content to be conveniently used on multiple screens and provide interactions among multiple screens. A first electronic device may receive web data from a content provider and generate a main DOM tree. The first electronic device may divide and transmit data relating to an expansion element from the web data to a second electronic device that generates an expanded DOM tree, processes the expanded DOM tree, and displays the same on a screen of the second electronic device. The second electronic device may detect a user input and identify whether an event for detecting the user input is included in the main DOM tree or the extended DOM tree and if the event is included in the main DOM tree or the extended DOM tree, the second electronic device may transmit the event to the first electronic device.
