    Abstract: A display apparatus may include a base substrate, an active pattern, a first electrode, a second electrode, a control electrode, and a display element. The active pattern may be disposed on the base substrate. The first electrode may be disposed between the base substrate and the active pattern and connected to a first end of the active pattern. The second electrode may be disposed on the active pattern and connected to a second end of the active pattern. The control electrode may overlap the active pattern and be insulated from the active pattern. The display element may be disposed on the second electrode and connected to the second electrode.

    Abstract: An optical device for realizing augmented reality comprises a lens comprising a first surface and side surfaces, a display device disposed on a first side surface among the side surfaces of the lens and displaying a first image in a first area and a second image in a second area, a first reflector disposed in the lens and reflecting the first image incident on the first side surface of the lens to the first surface, a second reflector disposed in the lens and reflecting the second image incident on the first side surface of the lens to the first surface, a first condenser disposed between the lens and the first area of the display device and focusing the first image on the first reflector, and a second condenser disposed between the lens and the second area of the display device and focusing the second image on the second reflector.

    Abstract: A display device includes a base, a semiconductor layer on the base and including source, drain and channel regions, a first insulating layer on the semiconductor layer, a gate line on the first insulating layer and overlapping the channel region, a second insulating layer on the gate line, a data line on the second insulating layer, a third insulating layer on the data line, a drain electrode disposed on the third insulating layer and in contact with the drain region through a contact hole in the first, second and third insulating layers, a first protective electrode on the drain electrode to overlap the drain electrode, a fourth insulating layer on the third insulating layer where the first protective electrode is formed, and a pixel electrode on the fourth insulating layer and in contact with the first protective electrode through a contact hole in the fourth insulating layer.

    Abstract: A curved liquid crystal display including a first curved substrate; a second curved substrate; a liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules having negative dielectric anisotropy, the liquid crystal layer being interposed between the first and second curved substrates; a first curved liquid crystal alignment layer interposed between the liquid crystal layer and the first curved substrate; and a second curved liquid crystal alignment layer interposed between the liquid crystal layer and the second curved substrate. The second curved liquid crystal alignment layer has an average value of surface roughness values greater than an average value of surface roughness values of the first curved liquid crystal alignment layer.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes: a first panel including a first electrode; a second panel including a second electrode; and a liquid crystal layer between the first and second panels. The first electrode includes: a central electrode disposed in a central region of a pixel; an outer electrodes extending along a side of the central electrode; and a connection electrode which connects the outer electrode and the central electrode. A slit pattern is defined in the first electrode around the central electrode, and a liquid crystal control pattern is defined in the first electrode in a corner region of the pixel. Horizontal and vertical incisions, which divide the first electrode into a plurality of domains, are defined in the second electrode, an end portion of the outer electrode is disposed to correspond to the corner region, and the end portion of the outer electrode extends farther than the central electrode.
