摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed with respect to using a blockchain for managing the subrogation claim process related to a vehicle collision, in particular, utilizing evidence oracles as part of the subrogation process. An exemplary embodiment includes receiving recorded data from one or more connected devices at a geographic location; analyzing the recorded data, wherein analyzing the recorded data includes determining that an collision has occurred involving one or more vehicles; generating a transaction including the data indicative of the collision based upon the analysis; and transmitting the transaction to at least one other participant in the distributed ledger network.

摘要: A system for detecting water damage to a structure may include a plurality of energy-harvesting sensors on or within the structure, each sensor being configured to (i) generate sensor data indicative of one or more characteristics of air, construction materials, and/or water within the structure and (ii) generate power for operating the sensor responsively to an external stimulus other than an electrical power source. One or more processors of the system receive sensor data generated by the energy-harvesting sensors, detecting water damage to the structure by analyzing at least the sensor data, and cause an indication of the detected water damage to be presented to a user.

摘要: In a computer-implemented method of detecting or predicting water damage within a structure, sensor data indicative of one or more conditions associated with the structure is generated. The condition(s) include at least one characteristic of air, construction materials, or water within the structure. The method may also include receiving the sensor data and data indicative of one or more other factors associated with an interior of the structure, detecting or predicting water damage to the structure by jointly analyzing the sensor data and the data indicative of the one or more other factors, and causing an indication of the detected or predicted water damage to be presented to a user.

摘要: A shared ledger operated by a group of network participants according to a set of consensus rules manages and resolves subrogation claims between a clamant and a defendant with arbitration. Evidence regarding the value of the subrogation claim is sent to the shared ledger by the parties to the subrogation claim, such as sending data to a smart contract deployed on the shared ledger. The parties to the claim may request arbitration, especially after attempts to settle the claim on-chain between the two parties have failed. An arbitrator may request evidence from the parties and/or request responses from the parties to accept damages calculations and/or settlement offers. Once the claim is resolved, the arbitrator may release funds on the chain to the prevailing party or may accept confirmation that any payments have been made between the parties off-chain.

摘要: Methods and systems for managing and/or processing a blockchain to maintain data security for confidential and/or personal data are provided. According to certain aspects, the disclosed data security techniques may enable access sharing functionality utilizing the blockchain. For example, access sharing may be utilized to share policy information. The policy information may be associated with a smart contract. Accordingly, the policy information may be encrypted using a public key for the smart contract and compiled into a block of the blockchain. In response to a request to provide access to the information to a particular node, the private key for the smart contract may be encrypted using the public key for the particular node and compiled into a block of the blockchain.

摘要: Methods and systems for managing and/or processing a blockchain to maintain data security for confidential and/or personal data are provided. According to certain aspects, the disclosed data security techniques may enable access sharing functionality utilizing the blockchain. For example, access sharing may be utilized to file documents, share policy information, and/or comply with an audit. The data security techniques disclosed herein also enable the use of smart contracts to transfer funds associated with payment obligations and/or other forms of blockchain based payments, comply with anti-money laundering requirements, report industry data, validate interest payments and/or maintain agent sales data. Data security may be achieved through the use of public key/private key encryption techniques.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed with respect to using a blockchain for managing the subrogation claim process related to a vehicle accident, in particular, determining fault as part of the subrogation process. An exemplary embodiment may include receiving an electronic notification of a vehicle collision; receiving sensor data (such as telematics, image, audio, vehicle operational, or other sensor data) related to the vehicle collision; determining a percentage of fault of the vehicle collision for one or more vehicles, vehicle systems, and/or drivers based upon, at least in part, analysis of the sensor data collected; and creating a blockchain for the vehicle collision with one or more links to the sensor image data and an indication of the percentage of fault(s) determined to facilitate blockchain-based claim handling.

摘要: The present embodiments relate to systems and methods for using a blockchain to record information related to processes and services in the vehicle industry. For example, (1) receiving vehicle data from one or more remote computing devices; (2) detecting a change in a condition of the vehicle from analysis of the vehicle data, such as that the vehicle has been in a collision and is now a total loss; (3) identifying a VIN of the vehicle or retrieving the VIN from a memory unit when a change in a condition of the vehicle is detected; (4) generating a transaction (i) including the vehicle's VIN, and (ii) describing the detected change in the condition of the vehicle and/or the status of the total loss vehicle; and/or (5) transmitting the transaction to facilitate creating and/or maintaining a VIN-based distributed ledger for the particular vehicle and/or transferring ownership of the total loss vehicle.
