    Abstract: An electromagnetic induction device, and a power supply apparatus and a display apparatus having the same are disclosed, the electromagnetic induction device comprising: a substrate layer comprising at least one substrate configured to be laid one upon another and a thin-film coil pattern, which is formed on at least one of both surfaces of the substrate and through which an electric current of a signal flows, the at least one substrate having an opening provided at an inner area of the thin-film coil pattern; a core configured to have a shape corresponding to a circulation path of magnetic flux generated by change in an electric current flowing in the thin-film coil pattern, and arranged to penetrate the inner area of the thin-film coil pattern through the opening of the substrate layer; and a heat dissipation layer disposed on one surface of the substrate, the heat dissipation layer configured to dissipate heat from at least one of the substrate layer and the core.The disclosed configuration addresses the problem of heat dissipation in a thin flat-plate structure.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a display apparatus including an image processor configured to process an image signal, a display configured to display an image based on the image signal, a controller configured to control the display of the image, and a power supply configured to supply actuating power to the controller, the power supply including a power circuit configured to receive alternating current (AC) power and output the actuating power by a switching mode, a noise reducer configured to reduce high-frequency noise due to the switching mode, and a discharging circuit configured to supply a residual voltage of the noise reducer to the power circuit when the AC power is input, and discharge the residual voltage of the noise reducer when the AC power is shut off. Thus, it is possible to decrease power consumption caused when the residual voltage of the noise reducer is discharged.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for supplying power to an electronic device are provided. The apparatus includes a power converter, a main converter, and a sub converter. The power converts includes a rectifier configured to convert alternating current (AC) power into direct current (DC) power, and a smoothing condenser connected to an output terminal of the rectifier. The main converter is connected with an output terminal of the power converter and configured to supply power to a first component of the electronic device. The sub converter is connected with the output terminal of the power converter, and configured to supply power to components other than the first component, and to stop supplying the power in response to a momentary power interruption or a voltage dip occurring in the AC power.

    Abstract: A power inlet socket coupled to a power delivering member of an electronic device to supply power from an external power plug to the electronic device includes a socket body comprising a power plug connector connected to the external power plug and a power delivering member connector connected to the power delivering member; three terminal pins, each terminal pin comprises a projecting pin extending from the power plug connector in parallel with one another to correspond to a terminal of the external power plug and a connection terminal exposed to the power delivering member connector; and an insulating barrier provided between at least a pair of connection terminals of the three terminal pins to cut off an electric current flowing among the connection terminals. Thus, the insulating distance of power inlet socket is improved.

    Abstract: A power supply, a power control method and a display apparatus having the same, for controlling a standby mode, are provided. The power supply of an electronic apparatus includes: a rectifier configured to rectify a current of alternating current (AC) power input as input power, into a direct current (DC); a power factor correction (PFC) circuit configured to correct a power factor of a DC voltage converted by the rectifier; a switching circuit configured to convert the DC voltage output by the PFC circuit into a predetermined operating voltage and a standby voltage and supply the operating voltage and the standby voltage to the electronic apparatus; and an output controller configured to control the PFC circuit and the switching circuit to convert the DC voltage into the predetermined operating voltage and standby voltage by the switching circuit and supply the operating voltage and the standby voltage to the electronic apparatus.
