Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message that includes a frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA). The FDRA may indicate a set of resource blocks (RBs), and the UE uses the indicated set of RBs to identify a first set of RBs for uplink communications using a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state and a second set of RBs for uplink communications using a second TCI state, both of which satisfy a threshold for performing transform precoding. The UE may transform precoding the first uplink signaling and the second uplink signaling based on the first and second sets of RBs satisfying the threshold for performing transform precoding.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for using automatic gain control symbols to indicate a sidelink mini-slot. A method performed by a transmitting user equipment includes transmitting, during a first time portion of a symbol within a slot, a first beam associated with a first receiving user equipment. The first time portion of the symbol is configured to indicate that the first receiving user equipment will receive another transmission from the transmitting user equipment during a first mini-slot within the slot associated with the first time portion. The method may further include transmitting, during a second time portion of the symbol within the slot, a second beam associated with a second receiving user equipment. The second time portion of the symbol is configured to indicate that the second receiving user equipment will receive another transmission from the transmitting user equipment during a second mini-slot within the slot.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for enabling user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) to communicate using a set of frequency resources in which a subset of frequency resources include a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS). In one aspect, the UE may measure the PTRS in the subset of frequency resources, and select a phase noise compensation that is used to demodulate a communication from the BS. The subset of frequency resources may be selected from the set frequency resources based on channel conditions of different subsets of frequency resources. The BS may provide an indication of the selected subset of frequency resources to the UE, such as in control information that schedules the communication from the BS.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, or computer-readable medium with instructions for beam management for radio frequency (RF) sensing at a wireless device. The wireless device performs a first beamsweep of an RF signal and measures a reflection of the RF signal based on the first beamsweep. The wireless device performs a second beamsweep of the RF signal, wherein the first beamsweep is based on a different parameter than the second beamsweep and measures the reflection of the RF signal based on the second beamsweep. The wireless device selects a beam for RF sensing based on the first beamsweep and the second beamsweep.

In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource configuration indicating one or more resources over which the UE may transmit one or more SRSs to one or more transmission and reception points (TRPs) within a multi-TRP communications system applying a multi-TRP communication scheme. The SRS resource configuration may configure the one or more resources based on a type of multi-TRP communication scheme being applied by multiple TRPs within the multi-TRP communications system and the UE may support SRS-based channel state information (CSI) acquisition within the multi-TRP communication scheme based on transmitting one or more SRSs over the configured resources. The UE may also receive configurations indicating spatial relations between each configured resource, two or more downlink reference signals, and a demodulation reference signal of an associated downlink transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some communications systems, interference may impede signaling between a base station and a target user equipment (UE) such that a base station may identify a donor UE to relay communications to the target UE. The donor UE may receive a coded data packet from the base station, and may identify a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) scrambling code for the packets addressed to the target UE. In cases where the donor UE identifies that the packet has an RNTI scrambling code associated with the target UE, the donor UE may forward the coded data packet to the target UE base on the RNTI scrambling code. Such early detection of data packets addressed to the target UE may allow for the UE to forward a data packet without fully decoding the packet.
