    Abstract: Method and apparatus for reduced signaling overhead in PAPR reduction techniques. The apparatus receives, from a transmitter, a signal comprising a set of overhead bits associated with a PAPR reduction sequence applied to a data signal from the signal, wherein the set of overhead bits are distinct from data symbols corresponding to the data signal. The apparatus decodes the set of overhead bits to identify the PAPR reduction sequence applied to the data signal from the signal. The apparatus removes the PAPR reduction sequence applied to the data signal. The apparatus decodes a remaining set of symbols of the data symbols from the signal, wherein the remaining set of symbols are free of the PAPR reduction sequence.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for early termination of decoding attempts, including decoding attempts associated with physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates that are encoded using a rateless code. In some aspects, a transmitting device may encode a message using a rateless code associated with a cumulative encoding of various portions of the message, and using a device identifier or group identifier as an input to the encoding. Similarly, a receiving device may receive an encoded signal over candidate resources and may attempt to decode the signal in accordance with the rateless code and using a device identifier or a group identifier as an input to the decoding. As such, intended or non-intended receiving device may be able to evaluate whether to proceed with a decoding attempt or to terminate a decoding attempt at a relatively early stage.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of one or more masking parameters associated with an inpainting scheme to a receiving device. The UE may remove, according to the one or more masking parameters of the inpainting scheme, a portion of image data from an image to obtain a masked image, the masked image having a smaller amount of image data than the image. The UE may compress, according to a compression scheme, the masked image to obtain a compressed image, the compressed image having a smaller amount of image data than the masked image based at least in part on the compression. The UE may transmit the compressed image to the receiving device.

    Abstract: Ultra-wide band frequencies used for extended reality (XR) services operate as unlicensed spectrum, which can result in unexpected interference. Although some link adaptation procedures can be used, uncertain link quality can result in sub-optimal utilization of spectrum resources, which may result in poor performance of an XR service. Some aspects described herein enable use of a fixed quantity of re-transmissions of data for an XR frame, with each of the re-transmissions having different XR frame qualities or different quantities of parity bits. The XR device may transmit a feedback message indicating whether the first transmission was successful and may receive a second transmission with additional data for the XR frame. In this way, the XR device can ensure a more efficient use of network resources.
