    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first control message to a radio access network (RAN) node which requests termination of paging by the core network. The RAN node may forward the first control message to the core network, and the core network may transmit a first non-access stratum (NAS) message including a reallocation of a temporary identifier associated with the paging message, and a set of release assistance parameters to the RAN. The set of release assistance parameters may notify the RAN to trigger a service release upon re-reallocation of the temporary identifier to the UE, and the UE may transmit the second uplink NAS message to the RAN. Based on receiving the second NAS message, the RAN may trigger the service release of the UE.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may transmit, to a first radio access network (RAN) node associated with a first subscription, a request to suspend downlink transmissions related to the first subscription based at least in part on a paging request received from a second RAN node associated with a second subscription. The UE may receive, from the first RAN node, a release message indicating that one or more core network nodes associated with the first subscription have suspended the downlink transmissions related to the first subscription. Accordingly, the UE may enter an inactive mode on a first wireless network associated with the first subscription and enter a connected mode on a second wireless network associated with the second subscription based at least in part on the release message. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: A method includes monitoring, at an upper layer of the UE, PDU activity for one or more PDU sessions that are associated with one or more DNNs. The method includes determining that each of the one or more PDU sessions has a period of inactivity based on at least one of an expiration of an activity check timer, accumulated inactivity cycles, or a dormancy indication associated with each of the one or more PDU sessions. The method includes indicating, to a lower layer of the UE, to provide UE assistance information to a base station for a RRC connection release between the UE and the base station.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that allow the user equipment (UE) that initiated single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) handover during an active voice session from 5G new radio (NR) to 3G legacy system to effectively transition back from 3G legacy systems to 5G NR systems after conclusion of the active voice session. In one example, the UE may override radio resource control (RRC) connection release with evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) frequency information that may direct the UE to camp in E-UTRAN cell (LTE cell). In another example, the UE, as a local policy or configuration, may override the UTRAN cell information when the UE is registered in next generation radio access network (NR) cell as 5G capable UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A UE may be configured with a machine learning model by a core network to perform analytics, training, or inferences. The UE may indicate capability information to a core network entity, including a list of machine learning models supported at the UE. A centralized core network entity may manage different machine learning models and may send information for a machine learning model to the UE, such as through another core network entity. The UE or the core network may initiate the configuration. For example, the UE may request to be configured with a machine learning model. The core network may send control signaling that indicates a configuration for the machine learning model to the UE. The UE may perform analytics based on the machine learning model.
