    Abstract: A method of wireless communication performed at a user equipment (UE), includes transmitting, to a network node, a first indication of a first UE radio capability, the first UE radio capability indicating support for a group of evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) new radio (NR) dual connectivity (EN-DC) band combinations. The method also includes receiving, from the network node, an indication of an active EN-DC band combination based on transmitting the first indication. The method further includes transmitting, to the network node, a second indication of a second UE radio capability based on an actual data throughput metric associated with the active EN-DC band combination satisfying a failure condition. The second UE radio capability may indicate support for one or more non-active EN-DC combinations. Each non-active EN-DC combination may be associated with a potential data throughput metric that is greater than a data throughput threshold value.

    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus selects an LTE serving cell and a non-LTE serving cell. Measurement objects corresponding thereto are identified based on a review of broadcasted system information and historical information relating to prior serving cells. The apparatus identifies measurement objects from other radio access technologies (RATs) (WCDMA, CDMA, GSM). The remaining measurement objects may be identified based on measurement identifiers. The apparatus performs wireless measurements based on the selected serving cells and identified measurement objects. The resulting measurements are transmitted to the network for use in determining channel conditions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine that a cell is associated with a deployment mode based on a condition being satisfied, where the deployment mode may be associated with serving one or more UEs travelling at high speeds. The UE may select from one of a frequency-based initial cell selection or a cell-based initial cell selection and may measure one or more frequencies of one or more cells including the cell to obtain a set of measured parameters, each cell corresponding to a respective deployment mode and a respective measured parameter. The UE may select a candidate cell from the one or more cells based on the respective measured parameters of each cell and the respective deployment modes of each cell and may establish a connection with the candidate cell based on the selecting.
