    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable storage medium for resolving state mismatch between a dual subscriber identity module (SIM) dual standby (DSDS)UE and a network are provided. An example method may include receiving, from at least one base station, a connected mode discontinuous reception (DRX) (CDRX) configuration and an idle DRX (IDRX) configuration, the CDRX configuration being associated with a first subscriber and the IDRX configuration being associated with a second subscriber. The example method may further include transmitting, to an upper layer, a radio resource control (RRC) release request based on the CDRX configuration and the IDRX configuration. The example method may further include transmitting, to an associated base station of the at least one base station, a synchronization message to get in synchronization with the associated base station.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to initiate a first setup procedure with a first cell supported by a base station. The UE may determine a system information block (SIB) read failure, a radio link failure, or both, based on initiating the first setup procedure. The UE may determine whether a link quality metric associated with communications between the UE and the first cell satisfies a link quality threshold. The UE may select a cell bar time based on a type of a communications service established via the base station, whether the link quality metric satisfies the link quality threshold, or both. The UE may then initiate a cell reselection procedure based on the cell bar time.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish multiple wireless connections, such as a wireless connection for a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a wireless connection for a second SIM, that share time-frequency resources. The UE may communicate data packets with another device during a communication session on the wireless connection for the first SIM. The UE may determine to pause the communication session for a duration based on receiving an indication from the other UE or based on a user input to pause communication. The UE may communicate data packets on the wireless connection for the second SIM for at least a portion of the duration using the shared time-frequency resources based on pausing the communication session.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for communication. In an aspect, a communications devices communicates, from an upper communication layer (e.g., application layer) to a lower communication layer (e.g., transport layer), indication(s) to prioritize certain frames (e.g., recovery frames and/or feedback frames) over other frames (e.g., Inter frames) associated with the same QCI bearer for a video streaming session. The lower communication layer may place the prioritized frames ahead of the non-prioritized frames in a lower layer transmission buffer based on the indication. The communications device may transmit one or more packets carrying the first set of frames before one or more packets carrying the second set of frames based on the first set of frames being placed ahead of the second set of frames in the lower layer transmission buffer.

    Abstract: Mobile communication devices may use too much power and/or take too much time when camping on a particular mobile communication network. An apparatus may implement functions that may decrease power usage and/or decrease time usage. The apparatus may be a UE configured to measure energy levels for each frequency channel of a set of frequency channels in a frequency band to determine measured energy levels. The apparatus may also be configured to determining whether a first cell that operates using a first RAT is detected on a frequency channel of the set of frequency channels based on the measured energy levels. Additionally, the apparatus may be configured to search for a second cell that operates using a second RAT, when no cell for the first RAT is detected on the set of frequency channels, wherein the UE searches for the second cell using the measured energy levels.
