Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for receiving, by a mobile device via a second RAT, an indication of the availability of a service on a first RAT. The mobile device may determine a configuration for a voice call session based on the availability of the service on the first RAT. The mobile device may initiate the voice call session according to the determined configuration.
Abstract:
Disclosed are techniques for communication. In an aspect, a communications devices communicates, from an upper communication layer (e.g., application layer) to a lower communication layer (e.g., transport layer), indication(s) to prioritize certain frames (e.g., recovery frames and/or feedback frames) over other frames (e.g., Inter frames) associated with the same QCI bearer for a video streaming session. The lower communication layer may place the prioritized frames ahead of the non-prioritized frames in a lower layer transmission buffer based on the indication. The communications device may transmit one or more packets carrying the first set of frames before one or more packets carrying the second set of frames based on the first set of frames being placed ahead of the second set of frames in the lower layer transmission buffer.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication, performed by a user equipment (UE), includes: participating in a first communication session associated with a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and participating in a second communication session associated with a second SIM, wherein the UE comprises the first SIM and the second SIM; applying a higher priority of access to radio frequency (RF) resources of the UE to transmissions of the first communication session over transmissions of the second communication session; detecting a first type of packet within a data queue, the first type of packet being associated with the first communication session; in response to the detecting of the first type of packet, changing the higher priority of access to the transmissions of the second communication session; and returning the higher priority of access to the transmissions of the first communication session subsequent to the first type of packet being transmitted.
Abstract:
Embodiments described herein relate to a method of managing communications for a wireless communication device having a first Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) associated with a first subscription and a second SIM associated with a second subscription, the method including, but not limited to, determining that the first subscription is a Default Data Subscription (DDS), deactivating at least one first Packet Data Network (PDN) associated with the second subscription, and communicating via at least one second PDN associated with the second subscription, wherein the at least one first PDN is different from the at least one second PDN.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for indicating, by a multimode access point, an availability of a service on a first RAT to a mobile device via a second RAT. The multimode access point may determine whether a service is available from a base station on the first RAT, e.g., a VoLTE service from a LTE base station. The multimode access point may send an indication to the mobile device of the available services. The mobile device may configure a voice call session based on the available services and initiate the voice call session accordingly.

Abstract:
A method for wireless communication by a wireless relay device comprises receiving, over a first wireless connection of a first connection type between a first wireless device and the relay device, a request to establish a connection between the first wireless device and a network via the first wireless connection and a second wireless connection of a second connection type between the relay device and the network. The method further comprises determining a priority associated with the first wireless device based on at least one parameter associated with the first wireless device. The method further comprises establishing, at the relay device, the connection between the first wireless device and the network when the priority associated with the first wireless device is higher than a priority associated with at least one of a plurality of other wireless devices having a connection with the network via the second wireless connection.
