Abstract: A millimeter-wave controller receives, from a microwave-communication control apparatus belonging to a microwave network, a first signal including location information of a first terminal belonging thereto and a use request for the first terminal to use the millimeter-wave network. A beam range for the first terminal and a first wireless resource that is included in one or more wireless resources of one or more millimeter-wave access points and that is to be allocated to the first terminal are set based on the location information. A use permission for the millimeter-wave network and first connection information for connection to a first millimeter-wave access point corresponding to the first wireless resource are transmitted to the microwave-communication control apparatus. The first connection information differs from second connection information for a second terminal belonging to the millimeter-wave network, the second terminal connects to the first millimeter-wave access point by using the second connection information.

Abstract: A microwave base station estimates a first position of a terminal station that has transmitted millimeter-wave signal quality information and a second position of a terminal station that has transmitted a data bandwidth reservation request and transmits the millimeter-wave signal quality information and the first position or the data bandwidth reservation request and the second position to a control station, and the control station stores the millimeter-wave signal quality information and the first position in a database in association with each other and determines, for the terminal station that has transmitted the data bandwidth reservation request, a millimeter-wave base station with which communication is to be performed, a first directivity, and a second directivity by referring to the database by using the second position, and allocates a radio resource based on the determined millimeter-wave base station, first directivity, and second directivity.

Abstract: Provided is a communication system achieving favorable beamforming training even in an environment where multiple wireless communication networks adjacently exist. In this communication system, in an RXSS, an STA measures received signal qualities of respective first training frames received from an AP and ranks the received signal qualities. In a TXSS following the RXSS, the STA measures received signal qualities of respective third training frames received from the AP and ranks the received signal qualities. The STA transmits fourth training frames respectively including the measured received signal qualities of the third training frames based on the ranks of the received signal qualities of the first training frames.

Abstract: A radio communication device includes: a directivity control unit that configures each of directivities of a plurality of antennas; a directivity switching unit that switches between the directivities of the antennas; a reception quality estimation unit that measures a reception quality of a received signal received by the antennas; and a block error estimation unit that estimates a block error in reception data which is obtained by decoding the received signal. In the case where a block error occurs continuously for a predetermined number of times or longer and an amount of decrease in the reception quality is lower than a predetermined value, the directivity control unit re-adjusts a directivity to decrease the block error, based on a result of the estimation of the block error and a result of the measurement of the reception quality, the re-adjusted directivity being one of the directivities of the antennas.

Abstract: A demodulation section demodulates a received signal. A decoding section decodes an output from the demodulation section. A buffer temporarily stores a portion of the received signal. A header analyzing section gives the buffer timing at which demodulation and decoding of a payload of the received signal are initiated, on the basis of a result of combination of a plurality of header sequences included in a header of the received signal and results of processing of the demodulation section and the decoding section. An improved SNR is achieved by means of combination of the plurality of header sequences, so that an iterative decoding count used for decoding the header become smaller.
