    Abstract: Examples of the disclosure relate to an apparatus for sensing biometric parameters. The apparatus may comprise heat transfer means configured to transfer heat from a first location to a location proximate to a subject's sweat glands. The apparatus may also comprise sweat transfer means configured to transfer sweat from the location proximate to a subject's sweat glands to one or more sensors wherein the one or more sensors are configured to sense one or more biometric parameters from the subject's sweat.

    Abstract: The application relates to an apparatus, method and computer program for identifying an obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) event. The event may be identified by monitoring signals obtained from a plurality of biometric sensors wherein the biometric sensors are configured to measure one or more biometric parameters of a subject. When an OCD event is identified one or more outputs maybe provided in response to the identification of the event. The outputs comprise providing instructions to the subject to perform one or more actions to mitigate the OCD event. Further signals are obtained from the plurality of biometric sensors after the one or more instructions have been provided and these signals are used to monitor a response of the subject to the one or more instructions.

    Abstract: A strain sensor includes a viscous piezoresistive element embedded or encapsulated within a solid, flexible, resilient packaging element, and a contact contactable from the exterior of the strain sensor and defining an electrical path through or along at least a portion of the viscous piezoresistive element, the resistance of the electrical path varying with deformation of the strain sensor. The invention allows the high gauge factor of a viscous piezoresistive material to be taken advantage of in a practical device by containing the material within a packaging element. The packaging element ensures a consistent output response as a function of deformation of the strain sensor and enables the strain sensor to detect time-varying forces due to the resilient nature of the packaging element.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are disclosed for providing a multiphase pumping mechanism configured for multiphase cooling of electrical charging circuitry. In the context of an apparatus, the apparatus includes a thermoelectric cooling device having first and second opposed surfaces and a fluid circulation path having first and second branches in thermal communication with the first and second surfaces, respectively, of the thermoelectric cooling device. The fluid circulation path is configured to control flow of fluid therethrough such that the fluid alternately flows through the first and second branches. The first branch of the fluid circulation path is also configured to be in a thermal communication with at least one first component of a mobile electronic device in order to absorb heat and correspondingly cool the at least one first component of the mobile electronic device.
