Abstract:
A device for controlling consecutive recording of video information containing signals, on a magnetic recording medium in a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus, fed from a video camera with variable time spacing. The device comprises a control switch rendered non-conductive or conductive when a pause switch in the magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus is actuated or released, and a member for initializing a sync signal generator in the video camera with a signal produced in synchronism with the rotation of a head carrying disc driving motor of the magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus, whereby energy consumption is lowered and synchronization between successive video information signals is attained rapidly during the consecutive recording of video information signals from the video camera.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for reproducing information at variable speeds from a magnetic tape by correcting a deviation between at least one video track of the magnetic tape and a rotating head during a tape stop state of an intermittent drive for a noiseless slow-still picture in a video tape recorder using pilot signals. A series of pulses produced by a frequency generator of a capstan for feeding the tape is counted during the tape feeding state of an intermittent drive in order to detect a timing of the stopping of the tape feeding. As the count number equals a set value corresponding to a regular amount of feeding of the tape during the intermittent drive, the tape feeding is controlled to stop. A tracking error signal is produced from the pilot signals reproduced from the tape by the rotating head within the tape stop state of the intermittent drive and the set value for the next tape feeding of the intermittent drive is adjusted in response to the tracking error signal.
Abstract:
A tracking control device for use in a rotary magnetic head type magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus, having a device for generating synchronizing signals in synchronism with the rotation of rotary magnetic heads, at a recording mode, records on a magnetic tape original information signals time-base converted so that the synchronizing information included in the information signals is in a predetermined synchronizing relation with said synchronizing signals, together with said synchronizing information; and at a reproduction mode of the recorded information, time-base converts the information signals and synchronizing information to restore the original information and controls the relative speed between the magnetic tape and rotary magnetic heads so that the time of the phase difference between the synchronizing signals and the reproduced synchronizing information is a predetermined value.
Abstract:
A magnetic tape transport controller for a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus in which a pilot signal for tracking control having four different frequencies is recorded on a magnetic tape by a rotary magnetic head and the magnetic tape is transported in a playback mode at a different tape speed than that in a recording mode. The tape transport controller has means for detecting an amplitude change of a specific one of signals derived by frequency-converting a reproduced pilot signal and controlling the tape speed such that the frequency of the amplitude change is maintained at a predetermined frequency. It also has a phase control loop to control the tape speed such that a phase of the specific signal coincides with a phase of a reference signal. In the playback mode in which the tape is transported at the different speed than that in the recording mode, frequencies of a local pilot signal used to frequency-convert the reproduced pilot signal are switched in the opposite order to that of the switching of the frequencies in the recording mode. A detection circuit which detects a difference between two frequency converted signals of different frequencies and amplifies the difference inverts a polarity of an output signal for each track switching in a standard speed playback mode and does not invert the polarity in a variable speed playback mode.
Abstract:
A variable-speed picture reproducing apparatus for obtaining noise-free slow-motion reproduction pictures suitable for use in a helical-scanning magnetic picture recording/reproducing system in which the tracking pilot signal is recorded along with the video signal on the video track. The apparatus include a drive for transporting the tape intermittently, a detecting arrangement for detecting that the tracking error signal derived from the pilot signal picked up during the intermittent tape transportation rises or falls across a predetermined level, and a control arrangement for performing tape stop control including a reversal braking for a capstan motor of the drive upon expiration of a delay time determined by a predetermined computation following the time point of the detection of the signal level.
Abstract:
A detector circuit for detecting a phase or frequency error of an input signal. One mode of at least two detection modes is selected according to a phase or a frequency of the input signal with each mode having a reference value of a phase or a frequency of the input signal and reference values of the detection modes being different from each other. A pulse signal having a phase corresponding to a difference between an actual phase or frequency of the input signal and the reference value of the phase or the frequency is generated, and a predetermined carrier signal is pulse width modulated with a predetermined modulation factor in response to the pulse signal, the modulation factor being different for each detection mode.

Abstract:
A document management system is provided to manage electronic documents in connection with copyrights. Herein, copyright management information is set with respect to a constituent element of a document that a user produces. The constituent element corresponds to a chapter, a paragraph, a sentence, a figure or a table, for example. The copyright management information represents copyright information regarding the use of the document, which is classified into prescribed levels such as a reference level, a copy level and a print level. In addition, it represents prescribed conditions as to whether the use of the document is allowed with payment of fee, with filing of application and with display of copyright or not, for example. Further, the content of the copyright management information can be changed in response to user levels respectively. The copyright management information is connected with information representing the constituent element. When the user requests to use a prescribed portion of another document other than the document that the user is presently producing, a use-allowed part is determined within the prescribed portion on the basis of the copyright management information of the constituent element overlapping with the prescribed portion. So, the user is capable of making a decision whether to actually use the use-allowed part in consideration of the prescribed conditions.
Abstract:
The relationships between words included in an input character string are analyzed. At least one related element conforming to the analyzed relationships is extracted from the input character string. Subject sentences are retrieved from stored documents using the related elements as retrieval keys, and the retrieved subject sentences are displayed on screen. Priority rank is given to the respective subject sentences in accordance with the degrees of coincidence between the respective subject sentences and the related elements. The subject sentences are displayed on screen according to the given priority rank.
