摘要: The present technology is a graphical user interface for a video recording system and method of recording a video while applying special effects in real time prior to and/or while recording. The interface is associated with an electronic device including a processor in communication with a camera and a memory unit. Inputs from the interface are utilized by the processing unit to determine if the native speed rate of the raw video data is to be changed, and if so then modifies at least one frame in the raw video data to create a modified video data at a modified speed rate that is different to the native speed rate. The system then generates an output video feed that is displayed in the graphical user interface. This allows for the continuous recording of video from the camera or video feed at different speed rates without altering camera operations or settings.

The techniques described herein may be especially applicable to timelapse videos captured over long durations of time and/or with varying amounts of device motion/scene content change over the course of the captured video (e.g., when a user is walking, exercising, driving, etc. during the video's capture). By smoothly varying the image recording rate of the timelapse video in accordance with multi-temporal scale estimates of scene content change, the quality of the produced timelapse video may be improved (e.g., fewer long stretches of the video with too little action, as well as fewer stretches of the video where there is so much rapid action in the timelapse video that it is difficult for a viewer to perceive what is happening in the video).

Path information may define a path selection for the spherical video content. Path selection may include movement of a viewing window within the spherical video content. The viewing window may define extents of the visual content viewable from the point of view as the function of progress through the spherical video content. Time lapse parameter information may define at least two of a time portion of the duration, an image sampling rate, and a time lapse speed effect. A time lapse video may be generated based on the video information, the path information, and the time lapse parameter information.

The method includes: in response to a curve variable-speed instruction, acquiring constant-speed presentation timestamps and variable-speed playback speeds of first designated video frames in a video; converting the constant-speed presentation timestamps of the first designated video frames into variable-speed presentation timestamps; establishing a speed variation curve; fitting the speed variation curve into one or more straight line segments; based on a second designated video frame indicated by a variable-speed playback instruction, determining a corresponding constant-speed presentation timestamp; and determining a corresponding variable-speed presentation timestamp, and starting from the variable-speed presentation timestamp, playing the video at a variable-speed. The present disclosure can realize video variable-speed playback from any video frame during preview.

The interface can be associated with an electronic device including a processor in communication with a camera and a memory unit, or can receive previously prepared video. A first speed rate of the video can be changed by modifying a frame in the video data to create a different modified video data at a modified speed rate that. This allows for continuous recording and/or displaying of video at different speed rates without altering operations or settings. The interface can include time guidelines associated with selectable speed rates, to display which speed rate setting is near a touching finger or pointing device. The guidelines can be activated automatically or can change color, shape, intensity or other property based on finger location, and can aid in object positioning in a field-of-view.

摘要: Methods, systems, and media for generating a summarized video using frame rate modification are provided. In some embodiments, a method for editing a video is provided, the method comprising: receiving, using a hardware processor, a video file; identifying a plurality of frames at a playback frame rate from the video file; generating an edited video file by extracting a subset of the plurality of frames, wherein the extracted frames in the subset of the plurality of frames are separated by a predetermined length in the plurality of frames and wherein extracting the subset of the plurality frames modifies a frame rate of at least a portion of the video file to an effective frame rate; storing the edited video file; and presenting the edited video file at the playback frame rate.
