Abstract: A method for fingerprint recognition and a fingerprint recognition device are provided. The method includes the following steps. A touch position of a touch panel is obtained as a fingerprint position. A fingerprint recognition operation is performed according to the fingerprint position. Whether the fingerprint recognition operation is successful is determined. In response to determining that the fingerprint recognition operation is not successful, at least one first position of the touch panel as an updated fingerprint position is generated according to the touch position of the touch panel, and the fingerprint recognition operation is performed according to the updated fingerprint position.

Abstract: An image processing circuit for controlling a panel is configured to: receive information of a fixed pattern noise (FPN) corresponding to a first sensing zone of the panel, wherein the first sensing zone is determined according to a touch position of a finger; scan the first sensing zone to perform fingerprint sensing on the finger, to receive a plurality of raw sensing signals; remove the FPN from the plurality of raw sensing signals to generate a plurality of modified sensing signals; and output a plurality of fingerprint data to a host for fingerprint recognition, wherein the plurality of fingerprint data are converted from the plurality of modified sensing signals.

Abstract: A fingerprint sensing device that includes an analog-front-end (AFE) circuit, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a correction circuit is introduced. The AFE circuit generates an image signal, and the ADC converts the image signal to an output digital code. The correction circuit receives a plurality of first output digital codes that are generated by performing a plurality of first fingerprint sensing operations in a plurality of first exposure time periods. The correction circuit is further configured to calculate a second exposure time period for a second fingerprint sensing operation according to the first output digital codes and the first exposure time periods, wherein the fingerprint sensing device performs the second fingerprint operation in the second exposure time period to generate a second output digital code.

Abstract: The fingerprint sensing device that includes a first analog front end (AFE) circuit, a compensation circuit, a correction circuit and an output circuit is introduced. The AFE circuit generates a first image signal according to the fingerprint data read from the plurality of rows of the fingerprint sensor. The correction circuit receives a first output digital code that is generated by reading a predetermined row among the plurality of rows of the fingerprint sensor, and calculates a brightness correction value and a relative illumination (RI) correction value according to the first output digital code. The compensation circuit modifies the first image signal according to the brightness correction value and the RI correction value to generate a second image signal. The output circuit is configured to generate a second output digital code according to the second image signal.

Abstract: An image compensation circuit for an image sensor includes a gain amplifier, a compensation control circuit, a memory and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The gain amplifier is used for receiving a plurality of image signals from the image sensor and amplifying the plurality of image signals. The compensation control circuit is used for generating a plurality of compensation values for the plurality of image signals. The memory, coupled to the compensation control circuit, is used for storing the plurality of compensation values. The DAC, coupled to the memory and the gain amplifier, is used for converting the plurality of compensation values into a plurality of compensation voltages, respectively, to compensate the plurality of image signals with the plurality of compensation voltages.
