Abstract: Systems and methods for image retargeting are provided. Image data may be acquired that includes motion capture data indicative of motion of a plurality of markers disposed on a surface of a first subject. Each of the markers may be associated with a respective location on the first subject. A plurality of blendshapes may be calculated for the motion capture data based on a configuration of the markers. An error function may be identified for the plurality of blendshapes, and it may be determined that the plurality of blendshapes can be used to retarget a second subject based on the error function. The plurality of blendshapes may then be applied to a second subject to generate a new animation.

Abstract: A system for object recognition are provided in the present disclosure. The system may obtain a first image of an object that is captured by a camera configured to capture one or more images for use in an object recognition process under a first scenario; obtain a second image of the object that is captured under a second scenario; assess a degree of similarity between the first image of the object and at least one sample image; and determine a calibration function to calibrate the degree of similarity between the first image of the object and the at least one sample image based at least on a correlation between the second image of the object and the at least one sample image, wherein the calibration function is to be applied in association with the one or more images captured by the camera in the object recognition process.

Abstract: Arrangement for acquiring images for producing a head related transfer function filter is disclosed. In the arrangement the camera of a mobile phone or similar portable device is adjusted for the imaging. All acquired images are analyzed and only suitable images are sent further for producing the head related transfer filter. The arrangement is further configured to provide instructions to the user so that the whole head and other relevant body parts are sufficiently covered.

Abstract: An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) for detecting security vulnerabilities by removing noise artifacts from documents receives a transaction request when a document is inserted into the ATM, where the document contains a noise artifact at least partially obstructing a portion of the document. The ATM generates an image of the document, where the image displays at least one data item comprising a sender's name, a receiver's name, and a number representing an amount. The ATM determines whether the noise artifact obstructs at least partially one data item. In response to determining that the noise artifact obstructs at least partially one data item, the ATM generates a test clean image of the document by removing the noise artifact from the image. In response to determining that the noise artifact is removed, the ATM approves the transaction request.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for evaluating an image acquisition accuracy of a Demura device, including: controlling a display panel to display a detection picture, wherein the detection picture includes a plurality of test point patterns with an interval therebetween; acquiring an image of the detection picture by the Demura device to obtain a preprocessed image corresponding to the detection picture, wherein the preprocessed image and a corresponding detection picture have a same size and a same shape; and determining the image acquisition accuracy of the Demura device according to a difference between a position of each of the plurality of test point patterns in the detection picture and a corresponding position of the test point pattern in the preprocessed image. The present disclosure also provides an apparatus for evaluating an image acquisition accuracy of a Demura device, an electronic device and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium.

Disclosed example apparatus also include a feature extractor to apply a blur filter to a first image to determine a blurred image, determine a blur feature value for the first image, the blur feature value to represent an amount the first image differs from the blurred image, and apply a vector of feature values associated with the first image to the machine learning system, the vector of feature values including the blur feature value. Disclosed example apparatus further include an image classifier to classify image quality associated with the first image based on an output of the machine learning system responsive to the vector of feature values associated with the first image.
