    Abstract: A method for touch detection is provided. The method is suitable for an electronic device with multiple sensing units. The method includes the following stages. Raw signal intensity distribution is obtained through the sensing units. A signal intensity determination process is performed. A signal processing process is performed according to the result of the signal intensity determination process. The signal processing process is performed in a first mode when the raw signal intensity of at least one sensing unit is higher than a first threshold. The signal processing process is performed in a second mode when the raw signal intensity of all the sensing units is lower than a second threshold.

Each of the analog front-end circuits includes a charge amplifier differentially amplifying first and second sensing signals provided to first and second input terminals, and outputting first and second differential signals to first and second output terminals; a filter filtering the first and second differential signals to output first and second filtered signals; a demodulator outputting an in-phase signal (I-signal) and a quadrature signal (Q-signal) of the first and second filtered signals; and a complex band-pass filter that filters the I-signal and the Q-signal.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, an input sensor operating in an input sensing mode or a proximity sensing mode, a sensor controller driving the input sensor in the input sensing mode or the proximity sensing mode, and a main controller controlling driving of the sensor controller. The input sensor includes a sensing area and a non-sensing area. The sensing area is divided into a proximity sensing area and a plurality of reference areas in the proximity sensing mode. The main controller generates a noise control signal based on a plurality of reference sensing signals sensed in the reference areas, and determines whether an object is in proximity based on the noise control signal and a proximity sensing signal sensed in the proximity sensing area.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of determining a noise-robust acquisition configuration for a sensor or communication system are disclosed. An exemplary method comprises a noise scan with: obtaining a sensor receive signal from the sensor system; determining a digital receive signal from the sensor receive signal by A/D conversion of the sensor receive signal at a predefined noise scan frequency; determining a plurality of decimated digital receive signals by integer decimation of the digital receive signal using two or more decimation rates that differ from each other, wherein each of the two or more decimation rates is associated with a respective candidate acquisition configuration; determining one or more noise measures for multiple of the candidate acquisition configurations using one or more of the plurality of decimated digital receive signals; and using the one or more noise measures, determining the acquisition configuration for operation of the sensor system from the candidate acquisition configurations.
