Abstract:
A method and device for transmitting a plurality of data units in a wireless local area network (WLAN) are discussed. The method includes obtaining by a station (STA) a transmission opportunity (TXOP), wherein the STA has a right to initiate frame exchange sequences during the TXOP; transmitting during the TXOP, a first data unit of the plurality of data units, wherein the first data unit comprises a signal field including information related to a bandwidth of the first data unit; selecting a bandwidth of a second data unit of the plurality of data units to be narrower than the bandwidth of the first data unit; and transmitting during the TXOP, the second data unit, wherein the second data unit comprises a signal field including information related to the bandwidth of the second data unit, wherein the first data unit is transmitted immediately before the second data unit.
Abstract:
A method is provided for transmitting a data frame by a station in a wireless local area network. The station obtains a transmission opportunity (TXOP) for a bandwidth, the TXOP indicating an interval of time during which the station has a right to initiate frame exchange sequences onto wireless medium. The station sets a transmit bandwidth parameter of a non-initial physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) of a plurality of PPDUs to be transmitted during the TXOP based on a transmit bandwidth parameter of a preceding PPDU of the plurality of PPDUs. The transmit bandwidth parameter of the non-initial PPDU is set to be same or narrower than the transmit bandwidth parameter of the preceding PPDU. A bandwidth indicated by the transmit bandwidth parameter of the non-initial PPDU or the preceding PPDU includes at least one of 20 MHz, 40 MHz and 80 MHz. The station transmits the non-initial PPDU during the TXOP.

The method is performed by a transmitting station and includes generating a packet including at least one spatial stream and first control information including a first field and a second field, and transmitting the packet to at least one receiving station. The first field indicates a group ID of the at least one receiving station and whether the packet is generated based on a single user transmission scheme or a multi user transmission scheme. Content of the second field is determined based on whether the packet is generated based on the single user transmission scheme or the multi user transmission scheme, the second field indicates a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index used for the packet if the packet is generated based on the single user transmission, and the second field indicates an encoding scheme applied to the at least one receiving station if the packet is generated based on the multi user transmission scheme.

A method for transmitting a sounding reference signal in a MIMO wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. The method for transmitting sounding reference signals (SRSs) in a MIMO wireless communication system comprises receiving sounding reference signal parameters from a base station; receiving information of the number of sounding reference signals which will be transmitted at a transmission time instant from the base station; if a plurality of sounding reference signals are provided, generating the sounding reference signals corresponding to each of the plurality of antennas by using the sounding reference signal parameters; and transmitting the generated sounding reference signals to the base station through their corresponding antennas at a specific transmission instant.
Abstract:
A method for a channel sounding in a wireless local area network. A station receives a 20 MHz null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame and at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame. The at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame is a duplicate of the 20 MHz NDPA frame. The station also receives a null data packet (NDP) following the 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame. The bandwidth over which the 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame are transmitted is the same as a bandwidth over which the NDP is transmitted. The station transmits a report frame for the channel sounding. The 20 MHz NDPA frame and the at least one duplicate 20 MHz NDPA frame comprise bandwidth information indicating the bandwidth over which the frames are transmitted.

The method according to one embodiment includes transmitting, to a user equipment, first resource information for indicating a first pattern, first subframe information for indicating a first subframe, second resource information for indicating a second pattern, and second subframe information for indicating a second subframe. The first subframe information includes information indicating a first periodic interval, and the second subframe information indicates information indicating a second periodic interval. Each of the first and second subframes is comprised of two slots—slot 0 and slot 1, and each of the first and second reference signal time-frequency resources is within two OFDM symbols other than OFDM symbols 0, 1, 2, and 3 of the slot 0 and other than OFDM symbols 0, 1, and 3 of the slot 1.

According to one embodiment, a method for a wireless local area includes: generating a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (MPDU) to be transmitted to a target station; generating a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) by attaching a PLCP preamble to the MPDU; selecting a transmission channel; and transmitting the PPDU to the target station over the transmission channel. Selecting the transmission channel includes: performing clear channel assessment (CCA) on a first channel to determine whether the first channel is idle; and only after it is determined that the first channel is idle, selecting the first channel and at least one idle second channel as the transmission channel. The PLCP preamble includes channel allocation information indicating a bandwidth of the transmission channel.
Abstract:
A method and terminal apparatus are described for performing channel interleaving at a terminal in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communication system. A number of columns C of an interleaver matrix are assigned as a number of symbols for transmitting data per subframe (Nsymb). A number of rows R of the interleaver matrix is defined as H · L · log 2 Q C , where H is a number of modulation symbols per layer, L is a number of layers and Q is a modulation order. Input vector sequences are written into entries of the interleaver matrix, row by row. Each of the entries has a size of L·log2 Q bits. Output bit sequences are generated by reading out the entries of the interleaver matrix, column by column. The output bit sequences are modulated by a unit of log2 Q bits, to generate modulation symbols. The modulation symbols are mapped to the L layers, and transmitted by using the L layers.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for allowing a UE to transmit uplink signals using a MIMO scheme are disclosed. In order to maintain good Peak power to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) or Cubic Metric (CM) properties when the UE transmits uplink signals using the MIMO scheme, the UE uses a precoding scheme based on a precoding matrix established in a manner that one layer is transmitted to each antenna in specific rank transmission.
