摘要: A yarn winding apparatus for winding each of a plurality of continuously advancing yarns to a package. The packages are wound on a winding spindle rotatably mounted in cantilever fashion on a movable spindle support. A stationary holding device is provided which is adapted for engaging the free end of the winding spindle without impeding the rotation of the winding spindle, so as to support the winding spindle at its free end with a holding force during the winding of the packages. Also, the winding spindle and the holding device can be joined to each other by two coupling elements without impeding the movement of the winding spindle which occurs during the winding operation to accommodate the build of the package.

摘要: An imaging apparatus for influencing impinging light comprising an optical element and an actuator for deforming the optical element is proposed. The optical element has a surface facing the impinging light and the actuator (3) has at least one piezoelectric element. In this case, the piezoelectric element is able to be driven by means of a control device. Moreover, the piezoelectric element is fitted to a rear surface and/or to that surface of the optical element which faces the impinging light. The optical element is borne by means of at least one such bearing element that has direction-dependent compliances for in each case at least one degree of freedom of rotation and/or degree of freedom of displacement, such that it is possible to achieve a substantially longitudinal-force-free bending with a substantially fixed overall position of the optical element.

摘要: A guide block (11) has a groove (16) with a flat floor cut into it, in which an endless belt (15) containing perforations (17) travels. A suction opening (18) opens into the floor of the groove (16), to which a vacuum is periodically applied by means of a valve (12). The endless belt (15) travels over a stack (1) of sheets (2) by means of guide rollers (4,5) and a drive roller (3). The vacuum, when periodically applied by the valve (12), operates through the perforations (17) so that the topmost sheet (2) of the stack (1) is sucked against the endless belt (15) and carried away in the same direction (28). One preferred form of the endless belt (15) is a toothed belt, with spaces between the teeth (21) that form vacuum chambers (22). With this compact and therefore easily positionable device, sheets (2) are sucked up from a stack (1) and transported away while maintaining their orientation, meaning that very high production rates are attained.

摘要: A sheet-guiding apparatus for a turning device in a rotary printing machine guides a sheet being printed to prevent smearing. The turning device includes a turning drum and at least one sheet-guiding cylinder. The turning drum and the sheet-guiding cylinder define a sheet transfer region and a sheet transfer path. The sheet-guiding apparatus comprises an air blower means, at least one blower/suction device, and a lower sheet-guiding device. The air blower means, which is arranged upstream of the sheet transfer region, includes a first set of air outlet openings for directing compressed air toward the sheet-guiding cylinder and at least a second air outlet opening for directing compressed air into the transfer region. The blower/suction device, which is disposed within the sheet-bearing surface of the turning drum, communicates with a plurality of openings disposed in the sheet-bearing surface and is coupled to a pneumatic device. The lower sheet-guiding device is disposed below the sheet transfer path and is switchable between providing compressed air and providing air suction. The air blower means, blower/suction device, and the lower sheet-guiding device cooperate to provide a combination of air blow and suction for guiding the sheet in the sheet transfer process.

摘要: Fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines includes a first closing spring which acts continuously on the valve needle by means of a central pressure pin and, in addition, a second closing spring which acts continuously on the valve needle by means of a pressure piece after covering the distance of an initial stroke. The pressure piece is supported at the nozzle body by means of an intermediate bush during the initial stroke. The initial stroke is limited by means of the shoulders at the valve needle and the intermediate bush, whereas the total stroke is limited by means of the shoulders at the intermediate bush and the intermediate disk. Accordingly, the initial stroke can be adjusted very accurately to a desired magnitude merely by means of grinding the valve needle and does not change during the assembly of the injection nozzle.

摘要: An ink fountain having a metering assembly in the form of a series of rectangularly shaped slides fitted into a horizontal slot in a frame with only the presented front ends of the slides being exposed and abutting the fountain roller. The slides are arranged side by side in coplanar relation with their lateral edges lying closely adjacent one another. Notches are formed in the lateral edges of the slides adjacent the front ends thereof, with the notches being occupied by slightly oversized buttons of resilient sealing material. The metering assembly is held captive at its ends between two vertical end plates which apply inward squeezing pressure to the metering assembly so as to compress the resilient buttons uniformly to bring the lateral edges of the slides into snug sliding relation to prevent leakage of ink between them and for the purpose of distributing any cumulative tolerance error equally between all of the slides in the series. Means are provided for confining the rear ends of the slides so that all the slides of the series are oriented precisely parallel to one another. Each of the slides has provision at its rear end for longitudinal adjustment in the form of an eccentric mechanism having a shallow throw. Each of the slides has a shank portion which is laterally relieved over the major portion of the length thereof so that the lateral edges of adjacent slides are in engagement only at the front and rear ends.

摘要: A device for measuring ink film thickness in the inking system of a printing press which includes a pair of hollow transparent rollers, at least one of which is resilient so that when the rollers are in rolling engagement with one another and with an ink-carrying roller in the press, there is a longitudinally extending ribbon-like area of engagement between them through which an enclosed film of ink is fed in a thickness which varies in accordance with the thickness of the ink film in the press. A longitudinally extensive light projector in one of the rollers cooperates with a correspondingly dimensioned light collector in the other, the collector being coupled to a photocell having an output indicator. The projector and collector are both in the form of optical cross section transformers, the projector being coupled fiber-optically to an external light source. A filter assembly is interposed in the light path manually switchable for application, to the film, of light of complementary color. A logarithmic amplifier is used having an attenuator, coupled to the switch, for affecting the light level to compensate for differences in inherent opacity of the differently colored inks thereby to enable the indicator to respond directly in terms of film thickness regardless of color.
