摘要： An ink supplying apparatus includes an ink flow passage connecting an ink storing portion for storing ink and an ejecting portion for ejecting the ink; a chamber disposed in the ink flow passage; a filter which divides the chamber into two spaces, one of which is provided with an ink entrance opening leading to the ink storing portion, and the other of which is provided with an ink exit opening leading to the ejecting portion; wherein the ink exit opening is disposed adjacent to the top wall of the chamber, with respect to gravity direction, and also, the ink exit opening is disposed above a level at which the ink entrance opening is disposed, with respect to direction.

摘要： There is provided a method for manufacturing a liquid discharge head that includes a discharge port, a supply path for supplying the liquid to the discharge port, a transparent member, and an absorptive member, wherein the transparent member and the absorptive member include supply path sections that become a part of a wall of the supply path. The method includes bringing the transparent and absorptive member into contact with each other in such a manner that surfaces of both members including the supply path sections are brought into contact with each other in the vicinity of the supply path sections, welding the both members by irradiating the contact portion where the both members are in contact with each other with the laser beam, and exhausting gas from an exhaust path formed on the liquid discharge head in the vicinity of the contact portion at least throughout the welding process.

摘要： An ink jet recording head includes an element substrate; a plurality of ejection outlets, provided on the element substrate, for ejecting ink in a direction perpendicular to the element substrate; and a nozzle formation member having a plurality of ink flow paths which are in fluid communication with the ejection outlets, respectively. The ink flow paths are arranged at a density higher than 1200 dpi in an arranging direction of the ejection outlets and widths of flow passage walls forming the ink flow paths are smaller than heights of the ink flow paths and are smaller than widths of the ink flow paths.

The ink cartridge includes a receiving portion for receiving the liquid discharged from the liquid ejecting head by the recovery unit; a liquid containing portion for accommodating the liquid to be supplied to the liquid ejecting head; and a connecting portion for connecting the receiving portion and the suction recovery unit, wherein the connecting portion is disposed at a position upstream of a front end surface portion of the ink cartridge with respect to an inserting direction in which the ink cartridge is inserted into the liquid ejection type recording device.

摘要： A joint member is made of an elastic member whose cross sectional shape is an almost M-character shape and which has: an inserting portion formed with an opening portion and a slit; an outer edge portion as an outer peripheral portion of the joint member; and a supporting fixing portion for coupling the inserting portion and the outer edge portion on the upper portion side. A cross sectional shape of an opening of the opening portion is a shape of a circular cone frustum in which the opening and a bottom surface are coupled via an inclined surface. The slit is formed in the rectangular bottom surface. The joint member is sandwiched between a casing and a pressing plate. The inserting portion and the supporting fixing portion exist in planes which are different in the inserting direction of a liquid supply needle.
