Abstract: A system and method for determining a correlation between medication intake and sleep disordered breathing, SDB, therapy outcome for a subject taking at least one type of medication and being provided with SDB therapy. The SDB therapy comprises at least positive airway pressure, PAP, therapy provided by a PAP device. Medication information, relating to a medication intake of the subject, and SDB therapy information, relating to a therapy outcome of the SDB therapy, are obtained and correlated.

Abstract: A system and method of identifying a patient interface device change in a pressure support system having a controller based on a mask and a headgear worn by a user. A set of force sensors and strap distance sensors are associated with the mask and the headgear such that a controller is able to assess current operational parameters of the mask and headgear. The controller further determines if there is a difference in the current operational parameters when compared to prestored operational parameters. The controller then assesses whether or not the determined change in the operational parameters indicates that the mask worn by the user has been changed.

Abstract: A coupling arrangement for use in securing a patient interface to the head of a patient. The fastening arrangement includes a first component having a source of a magnetic field and a second component having a mating component attracted to the source by the magnetic field. One or both of the source and/or a portion of the first component is moveable among: a shielded positioning wherein the source is shielded such that the maximum strength of the magnetic field outside of the first component is less than a predetermined value, and an unshielded positioning wherein the source is unshielded such that the maximum strength of the magnetic field outside of the first component is greater than or equal to the predetermined value.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a control system is described. The control system controls a respiratory support system for supplying therapy gas to a subject. The control system comprises processing circuitry communicatively coupled to an interface for receiving an indication of a combination of the subject's head orientation and torso orientation. The indication is based on orientation data provided by a sensing system configured to detect the subject's head orientation and torso orientation. The control system further comprises a machine-readable medium storing instructions. When executed by the processing circuitry, the instructions cause the processing circuitry to identify, from parameter information associated with each of a set of different combinations of head orientation and torso orientation, a parameter value of the therapy gas for the respiratory support system to use in supplying the therapy gas to the subject for the indicated combination of the subject's head orientation and torso orientation. The respiratory support system is caused to supply the therapy gas with the identified parameter value.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a predictive indicator representing a difference between a PAP titration sleep session and at least one conventional sleep session. Data relating to the subject's sleep and to sleep influencing factors is obtained for both the PAP titration sleep session and the conventional sleep session, and is processed to identify any differences between the PAP titration sleep session and the conventional sleep session. A predictive indicator indicative of whether the identified difference(s), if present, satisfy a first predetermined condition is generated.
