摘要: An autostereoscopic display system (240) arranged to display an autostereoscopic image, the display system comprising a display panel (400, 500) comprising multiple sub-pixels. The multiple sub-areas of a sub-pixel comprising a high-intensity sub-area, wherein the high-intensity sub-area is arranged to provide light of a higher intensity than the other sub-areas in the multiple sub-areas of the sub-pixel for at least one image value received in the sub-pixel. The high-intensity sub-area may be arranged in the sub-pixel to reduce banding, inter alia, by splitting the multiple sub-areas along a direction parallel to the direction of the columns.

摘要: An optical connector system for reversible optical connection between two optical fibers (102, 104) with their end parts inside respective ferrules. A receptacle arrangement has a receiving body (105) for receiving at least one of the ferrules (103). An optical element (106) of the receptacle arrangement serves to provide optical connection between the two optical fibers in a connected state of the optical connector system, and at the same time, the optical element (106) serves as a sterility barrier between the two optical fibers. The optical element (106) can be an optical waveguide, e.g. a piece of optical fiber similar to the two optical fibers (102, 104), and arranged within the receiving body (105). Alternatively, the optical element may be a thin flexible membrane (207, 307) which is optically transparent. As a further alternative, the optical element may be a sterilizing fluid (409) arranged inside a container that can be punctured upon insertion of one of the ferrules (401, 403) into the container (408), to allow an optical fiber end to be sterilized by the fluid (409) prior to entering into the connected state. In a further embodiment, an optical lens (312) is used to project light from one fiber end through a membrane (307) to the opposite fiber end.

According to a preferred embodiment, light (Im) is emitted towards the teeth (T), and a part thereof as scattered from the surface of the teeth (T) and plaque (P) which may be present on the teeth (T) is recollected by a light receiving element (121). The received light (Isc) is provided to a light detector (120) for generating a detection signal (x) that represents at least one property of the light (Isc), which is then evaluated with respect to the presence of plaque (P) by determining at least one scattering-related quantity. The quantity may for example be a ratio or coefficient to be calculated from the spectrum of the received light (Isc), or the temporal development of a speckle pattern.

Each projection has a beam redirecting face which is at an angle a to the normal. The angle a and the refractive index of the waveguide as well as outside the waveguide (over the output face) are designed to satisfy various relationships, which ensure that the optical output can be selected to be within a desired angular range in a generally forward direction (and thus not clipped).

The pixels form a hexagonal grid, and the lenses also repeat in a hexagonal grid. A vector p is defined which relates to a mapping between the pixel grid and the lens grid. Regions in the two dimensional space for this vector p are identified which give good or poor banding performance, and the better banding performance regions are selected.
