摘要: According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a method of forming an ultraviolet-stabilized corrosion inhibitor is provided. The method includes forming a functionalized azole; forming a functionalized photosensitizer; and forming an ultraviolet-stabilized corrosion inhibitor by reacting the functionalized azole with the functionalized photosensitizer. In another embodiment, an ultraviolet-stabilized corrosion inhibitor is provided. The inhibitor includes an azole bonded to a photosensitizer. In another embodiment, an article of manufacture is provided. The article of manufacture includes a material comprising a reaction product of an azole and a photosensitizer.

摘要: A material comprises a carbon nanotube and a methyl methacrylate group covalently bonded to a surface of the carbon nanotube. In some examples, the material can further comprise a polymeric chain appended to the surface of the carbon nanotube via the methyl methacrylate group. In some examples, the polymeric chain can include styrene monomer repeating units and butadiene monomer repeating units. In some examples, the polymeric chain can include a flame retardant moiety appended thereon and/or flame retardant monomer repeating units. In some examples, the carbon nanotube can be incorporated or combined with a resin material to provide a composite component. A method to produce a carbon nanotube having a polymeric chain appended thereto is also described.

摘要: A hose, connector, and hose assembly are described with mechanical properties that can be varied by exposure to specific energy stimuli. The hose has a wall with a first material, a second material, and one or more energy conduits, wherein the first material has a first rigidity with a first variability, and the second material has a second rigidity with a second variability, the first variability depends on energy emitted from the one or more energy conduits, and the second variability is substantially independent of energy emitted from the one or more energy conduits. The second material may be disposed in inclusions that are positioned in the wall. The connector connects two such hoses together, providing connectivity for the inclusions and the energy conduits of two lengths of hose. The connector also provides an external connection to couple an energy source to the energy conduits of the hose.

摘要: Tamper-respondent sensors with random three-dimensional security patterns and methods of fabrication are provided. The method includes establishing a security circuit pattern for a security circuit of a tamper-respondent sensor to enclose, at least in part, one or more components of a circuit board within a secure volume. The establishing includes obtaining in three-dimensions boundaries for the security circuit of the tamper-respondent sensor. The boundaries define a sensor volume within which the security circuit is to reside. The establishing also includes generating at least one trace configuration for the security circuit pattern. The at least one trace configuration defines a random, three-dimensional security pattern within the sensor volume, and the at least one trace configuration establishes, at least in part, the security circuit pattern. The process further includes fabricating the tamper-respondent sensor using, at least in part, the established security circuit pattern.
