Provided are a hybrid electric vehicle and driving mode control method and apparatus for the same. An engine start request is generated by a heating controller of the vehicle. A second time is determined on basis of a first time between the cancellation of a prevent engine start request and the generation of the engine start request. The engine is controlled so that the engine is further maintained in a started state during the second time after the engine start request is cancelled.

The present disclosure relates to an eco-friendly vehicle in which valet mode can be controlled with detailed control levels, and a method for controlling the same mode. A method for controlling valet mode of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises determining whether an entry condition for the valet mode to be satisfied, determining, if the condition being satisfied, one level among a plurality of levels for the valet mode based on at least one of a vehicle state and a driving environment and performing a vehicle control according to the determined level, wherein the plurality of levels are different from one another in whether or not a restriction to be made to at least part of a powertrain and a function or a degree of the restriction.
Abstract:
A method for learning a touch point of an engine clutch for a hybrid electric vehicle includes controlling a speed of an engine to have an idle speed. A fluid pipe of a clutch actuator is refilled with a working fluid by driving a driving motor in an idle control state of the engine, a speed of the driving motor is synchronized with the speed of the engine, and then the engine clutch is engaged. The engine clutch is released after the refill is performed, and the speed of the driving motor is decreased. A working fluid is applied so that the engine clutch is operated in an engagement direction by operating the clutch actuator, and a state change of the driving motor is detected. The touch point of the engine clutch is determined based on the state change of the driving motor.

A vehicle and an acceleration limit control method thereof, includes obtaining a driving score of a driver, determining a driving score change amount of the driver based on traveling information measured or generated when the vehicle is driving, determining a current driving score based on the determined change amount of the driving score and the obtained driving score, and setting an acceleration limit level or changing a preset acceleration limit level based on the determined current driving score.

A hybrid vehicle and a method of calibrating a traveling direction of the hybrid vehicle are disclosed. The method of calibrating a traveling direction of a hybrid vehicle including a transmission not having a reverse gear includes: when an abnormality of a motor speed sensor is detected, calculating a difference between at least one of a first moving distance calculated based on sensor information during a predetermined time or a second moving distance calculated based on output torque and a third moving distance calculated based on a vehicle speed by a controller for controlling output torque; when an absolute value of the calculated difference is greater than a preset error reference, reversing the traveling direction recognized by the controller; and controlling a powertrain in response to a transmission lever state.
