Abstract: A power transmission system transmits power from an internal combustion engine to a first and a second auxiliary device through an endless transmitting member. Prior to issuing of an engine start request, the first auxiliary device is actuated to move a tensioner pulley to a given position to increase the degree of tension of the endless transmitting member. The actuation of the first auxiliary device as an engine starter upon the issuing of the engine start request, therefore, enables a drive shaft of the engine to be rotated immediately within a required time to crank the engine. This achieves a quick start of the engine and results in a decrease in amount of time between the issuing of the engine start request and the actual start of the engine.

Abstract: A power transmission device includes: a pole piece configured to rotate by modulating a magnetic flux between a drive-side magnet and a stationary magnet; and a sealing member that partitions an inside of a housing into a driving side space where the drive-side magnet is disposed and a driven side space where the stationary magnet and the pole piece are disposed, so as to seal fluid between the driving side space and the driven side space. Abstract: A drive transmission device includes a drive-side rotatable body, a plurality of magnetic conducting portions and a driven-side rotatable body. The drive-side rotatable body includes a plurality of magnetic poles arranged in a rotational direction. Abstract: In a valve apparatus, a housing includes a plurality of through holes through which a fluid flows. A first valve member opens and closes a first through hole. A second valve member opens and closes at least one second through hole. A fixed core does not move relative to the housing. A coil forms magnetic field. A first movable core moves integrally with the first valve member. When the coil forms the magnetic field, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the first movable core and the fixed core. A second movable core moves integrally with the second valve member. When the coil forms the magnetic field, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the second movable core and the fixed core. A magnetic constriction portion is provided between the fixed core and the first movable core. The second through hole is opened after the first through hole is opened.
