The method provides at least one protective film and at least one glass substrate. One side of the glass substrate is adhered to one side of the protective film. The glass substrate adhered with the protective film is dipped in an adhesive reservoir. The glass substrate adhered with the protective film is taken out of the adhesive reservoir. After the adhesive is hardened, a reinforcement layer is formed on the other side and the periphery of the glass substrate. The present invention makes the surface of the glass to be more flat with an increased strength.

The present invention relates to an IC substrate provided with over voltage protection functions and thus, a plurality of over voltage protection devices are provided on a single substrate to protect an IC chip directly. According to the present invention, there is no need to install protection devices at respective I/O ports on a printed circuit board to prevent the IC devices from damage by surge pulses. Therefore, the costs to design circuits are reduced, the limited space is efficiently utilized, and unit costs to install respective protection devices are lowered down.

A porous poly(2-acryl-amido-2-methyl-propane sulphonic acid)-based humidity sensing element is disclosed which provides improved range of humidity measurement and response time with little or no hysteresis. It includes: (a) a non-conductive substrate which has a pair of electrodes formed thereon; (b) a porous poly(2-acryl-amido-2-methyl-propane sulphonic acid) film formed on said electrodes. The porous poly(2-acryl-amido-2-methyl-propane sulphonic acid) film is formed by first forming a non-porous poly(2-acryl-amido-2-methyl-propane sulphonic acid) film on the electrodes, then subjecting the non-porous poly(2-acryl-amido-2-methyl-propane sulphonic acid) film to a heat treatment at temperatures between about 170° C. and 240° C. such that a porous structure is formed in said poly(2-acryl-amido-2-methyl-propane sulphonic acid) film. The poly(2-acryl-amido-2-methyl-propane sulphonic acid) can be modified by incorporating a cation, such as hydrogen, lithium, potassium, sodium, ammonium, primary, secondary, and tertiary amine ions, and tetra-alkyl ammonium ions.

An ion-dielectric touch sensor detects a touching operation applied by a touching object thereto. The ion-dielectric touch sensor includes a base board, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a dielectric layer. The base board forms an electrode mounting surface on which the first and second electrodes are arranged in such a way that the second electrode is closed to but spaced from the first electrode. The dielectric layer is coated on the electrode mounting surface of the base board and encloses the first and second electrodes. When the touching object touches the dielectric layer of the ion-dielectric touch sensor, a variation of the electrical resistance between the first and second electrodes is caused. The variation of electrical resistance is detected by a detection circuit connected between the first and second electrodes.

A multidirectional ultraviolet sensor includes a substrate and a UV-sensitive layer. The UV-sensitive layer contains nano-sized or micro-sized particles of a UV-sensitive material, which is attached to a top surface of the substrate by sintering process to enable sensing of ultraviolet light incident on the ultraviolet sensor from various directions. The UV-sensitive layer is in contact with a first and a second electrode layer, which are arranged at the top surface or the bottom surface the UV-sensitive layer in the same horizontal plane, or respectively at two opposite sides of the UV-sensitive layer. Since an impedance value of the UV-sensitive layer changes in response to an intensity of incident ultraviolet light, the intensity of the incident ultraviolet light is measured by detecting the impedance of the UV-sensitive layer.
