    摘要： A closure system for use in repetitively opening and sealing closing an openable end of a pliable container includes at least one bowed band which is connected to the container, as well as at least one closure member. In certain preferred embodiments, bands are connected to opposing side walls of the container, with the bands being interconnected by the closure member. When the container assumes an open condition, the bands are generally located in offset planes and, when the container is in a closed condition, the bands nest with at least one side wall portion of the container being located between the bands. The closure member has spring characteristics which tend to bias the bands together when the closed condition is selected, yet permits the container to be readily maintained in the open condition when desired. In other preferred embodiments, a closure member which tends to coil up is utilized to establish the closed condition.

    摘要： A doctoring surface conformation for applicator nozzle structures in photographic film cassette contained processors by which a coating of processing fluid is deposited on exposed film strip moving in a given direction of film advancement. The conformation includes a first doctoring surface extending from adjacent a trailing portion of a nozzle opening, when viewed in the given direction, and converging in the given direction toward the film strip. Terminating by a given distance from the film strip is an edge of the first surface which enables such surface to trap particles of at least a predetermined size carried by such film strip. Contiguous with the terminating edge is a second doctoring surface which is constructed and oriented relative to the first surface and film strip so that the processing fluid remains in constant contact therewith for providing a preselected fluid thickness above the film strip which is greater than the given distance of the terminating edge for eliminating wakes in the fluid coating caused by particles being trapped by the first surface.

The application of thermal energy to the medium is controlled, in part, by a feedback subsystem that optically monitors pixel area density while recording is in progress.     摘要： A closure system for use in repetitively opening and closing an openable end of a pliable container includes first and second shape memory elements that are adapted to be attached to side walls of the pliable container adjacent the openable end thereof. Each of the first and second shape memory elements includes an elongated, generally concave surface portion and an opposing, generally convex surface portion. In accordance with various embodiments of the invention, the shape memory elements are provided on the container with the concave surface portions facing each other when the pliable container is in an open condition to maintain the opposing side walls in a spaced relationship in order to permit enhanced access to an interior of the container. In each embodiment, when the openable end is closed, the generally concave surface portion of one of the shape memory elements assumes a nested position with the generally convex surface portion of the other shape memory element in order to maintain the side walls in a close bearing relationship at the openable end. The shape memory elements can be constituted by various bowed members, including plastic bands, metal strips and wires which can either be fixedly or rotatably mounted to the bag. The closure system has application to various types of pliable containers, including two-sided, multi-ply and gusseted bags. A method and apparatus for producing pliable containers incorporating the closure system of the invention is also provided.

The brewer comprises a chamber formed by a deformable elastic cover and a base, the cover being attachable to and detachable from the base to form the chamber. The base is adapted to rest on the cup and to support a filter for supporting the coffee within the chamber. The user successively deforms and releases the cover to cause water in the cup to move repeatedly from the cup through the filter and coffee into the chamber and back to the cup again to complete the brewing process.
