摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to dual-function medical devices with diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities, such as real-time visualization and ablation. Many embodiments may include an ergonomic handle and dual-lumen catheter configured for dual-function diagnostic and therapeutic use during a medical procedure, such as a duodenoscope. The medical device may be delivered within an endoscope working channel to provide real-time visualization (e.g., radial ultrasound imaging) and treatment (e.g., soft tissue ablation) of cancerous tissue. For instance, a first lumen may include a high-frequency linear or radial ultrasound and the second lumen may include a surgical instrument, such as an ablation tool. Some embodiments may include a controller with a feedback loop configured to adjust the therapeutic tool based on data from the diagnostic tool. For instance, the power of an ablation tool may be adjusted by the controller based on data generated by an imaging device.

摘要: Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, systems, and methods for tissue resection in a body lumen of a patient, and may include a body extending along an axis and a distal cap positioned distally of the body and coupled to a shaft extending along the axis. The body and the distal cap may be movable relative to each other. An anchoring mechanism may be capable of engaging the body and the distal cap proximate a selected tissue for resection in the body lumen. A tissue capture device may be deployable from the tissue resection device such that a selected tissue for resection is securable by the tissue capture device. The tissue resection device may further include a tissue resecting device for resecting the selected tissue for resection.

摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices. In particular, the present disclosure relates to medical systems and methods configured to shield the sharpened distal end of needles, such as exchangeable biopsy needles. The biopsy needles may be used for tissue biopsy and sampling under radial ultrasound guidance.

摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to medical imaging devices, such as a real-time visualization and diagnostic and/or therapeutic tool assembly, which may include an ergonomic handle and catheter configured for dual-function use during a medical procedure. By way of non-limiting example, the medical device may be configured for use with a probe, such as one disposed at the distal end of the catheter, and delivered within a bronchoscope working channel to provide real-time visualization (e.g., radial ultrasound imaging) and manipulation (e.g., diagnostic biopsy sampling) of pulmonary nodules in peripheral regions of the lung. As disclosed herein, in various embodiments, one or more components of the medical imaging device may be configured to position a catheter with a first tool/instrument (e.g., a biopsy needle) within a peripheral region of the lung while maintaining real-time visualization of the pulmonary nodule (e.g., with a second tool/instrument, such as a radial ultrasound probe).
