摘要: The present invention relates to a material and method for promoting motion preservation in a bone. One preferred method comprises (a) accessing an interior of the bone, (a) mixing magnesia, potassium biphosphate, and a calcium phosphate with an aqueous solution forming an activated slurry, (c) applying an effective amount of the activated slurry to the interior of the bone, (d) allowing the activated slurry to set forming a bonded bone structure, and (e) permitting bone growth into the bonded bone structure to thereby promote motion preservation of the bone.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a bio-material composition comprising a dry potassium phosphate based mixture omprising: MgO, monobasic potassium phosphate, monobasic sodium phosphate, proteoglycans, calcium sodium phosphosilicate, and an antibiotic, wherein a weight percent ratio of monobasic potassium phosphate to MgO is between about 3:1 and 1:1, wherein the dry otassium phosphate based mixture is configured to be mixed with the aqueous solution to thereby form a reabsorbable bio-material slurry, wherein the proteoglycans are between about 1-10 weight percent of the dry composition, and wherein the proteoglycans act as active regulators of collagen fibrillogenesis to thereby structure tissue of a patient by organizing a bone extracellular matrix.

摘要: The present invention relates to a bio-material composition comprising: a dry potassium phosphate based mixture comprising (a) MgO, monobasic potassium phosphate, monobasic sodium phosphate, a reabsorbing agent, and a tertiary calcium phosphate, wherein the weight percent ratio of monobasic potassium phosphate to metal oxide is between about 3:1 and 1:1; and (b) an aqueous solution, wherein the dry potassium phosphate based mixture is mixed with the aqueous solution forming a reabsorbable bio-material slurry, wherein the reabsorbing agent is between about 1-10 weight percent of the dry composition, and wherein the reabsorbing agent is selected from the group consisting of a sugar compound, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), a poloxamer, and combinations thereof.
