Augmented reality providing server provides an augmented reality with information overlaid on captured video and includes server communication unit for inter-working with portable terminal; and server control unit for receiving selected menu information from portable terminal, generating first menu information data attained by extracting data that matches selected menu information by comparing the selected menu information with pre-stored location-associated information, and transmitting first menu information data to portable terminal, wherein the server control unit generates the first menu information data by selecting menus that match the selected menu information among a plurality of menus included in the location-associated information. In an embodiment, fast augmented reality operation can be obtained since portable terminal may receive and output information corresponding to menu selection immediately with a composition onto acquired image information.

A mobile terminal which can enter a content share mode, a mobile terminal system, and a method for controlling the operation of the same are provided. After entering a content share mode, a mobile terminal can transmit and receive content to and from another mobile terminal which is in the content share mode and within a predetermined distance. The mobile terminal can also specify a content transmission format. Before the content is transmitted, the content may be displayed on another mobile terminal using a thumbnail of the content. Users can conveniently transmit content between mobile terminals.

A speech recognition method and apparatus perform speaker clustering and speaker adaptation using average model variation information over speakers while analyzing the quantity variation amount and the directional variation amount. In the speaker clustering method, a speaker group model variation is generated based on the model variation between a speaker-independent model and a training speaker ML model. In the speaker adaptation method, the model in which the model variation between a test speaker ML model and a speaker group ML model to which the test speaker belongs which is most similar to a training speaker group model variation is found, and speaker adaptation is performed on the found model. Herein, the model variation in the speaker clustering and the speaker adaptation are calculated while analyzing both the quantity variation amount and the directional variation amount. The present invention may be applied to any speaker adaptation algorithm of MLLR and MAP.
