摘要: Provided is a lithium secondary battery with enhanced energy density including a cathode using a cathode active material containing lithium mixed transition metal oxide absorbing and discharging lithium ions, wherein a final discharge voltage is in the range of about 1.5 V to about 2.75 V. A final discharge voltage can be reduced to 1.5 V to 2.75 V from 3.0 V by using various lithium mixed transition metal oxides as a cathode active material, or by using the various lithium mixed transition metal oxides with the LCO-based cathode material mixed. Compared to typical LCO-based cathode materials of which capacity and energy density do not change even if a final discharge voltage is decreased, a cathode material of the present invention results in further improving capacity by 10-20% as the final discharge voltage is decreased.

摘要: The present invention provides a hybrid composite sealant, as a sealing material for a planar type solid oxide fuel cell stack, having a matrix of a glass composition, wherein a surface layer reinforced with platelet reinforcement particles is laminated on either one or both surfaces of an inner layer reinforced with fibrous reinforcement particles. Accordingly, by applying the composite sealant of the present invention to the solid oxide fuel cell stack, excellent gas-tightness of the stack can be obtained even under low coupling pressure, thermal cycling durability can be enhanced due to low coupling strength with a contact surface of an object to be sealed, stack disassembly and maintenance can be facilitated when parts within the stack are disabled, and stack stability as well as stack performance can be maintained under a pressurized operation condition where pressure differentials between the inside and outside of the stack reach to 5 atmospheric pressures (0.5 MPa).

摘要: The present invention provides an elastase-inhibiting protein isolated ("Guamerin") from a Korean leech, Guameri (Hirudo nipponia) and a process for preparing the same. Guamerin is a protein of a molecular weight of 6,110 Da which is composed of 57 amino acid residues, whose active site is composed of 36-methionine and 37-isoleucine, which retains an inhibiting-activity highly specific to elastase, and which shows stability against heat as well as strong acids and alkalies. Guamerin of the present invention can be applied in the treatment of diseases associated with an excess level of elastase, such as rheumatoid arthritis, emphysema, and psoriasis.

摘要: A heating roller driving device for a heating roller of an image forming apparatus. The heating roller driving device includes a motor for supplying the heating roller with a driving force for the heating roller to contact or separate from a photosensitive belt. A motor controller is provided for controlling the operation of the motor, and a main controller is included for providing the motor controller with a predetermined command to operate the motor. A lever is pivotably installed on the shaft of the heating roller for moving the heating roller to contact or separate from the photosensitive belt, a roller gear is installed at one end of the shaft of the heating roller for receiving the driving force transferred from the motor, a clutch is installed at a predetermined location in the vicinity of the heating roller for pushing the lever or for releasing the lever from the pushed state to in turn move the heating roller to contact or separate from the photosensitive belt by the driving force transferred from the motor, and a plurality of motor gears is installed on the output shaft of the motor for selectively transferring the driving force of the motor to either the roller gear or the clutch depending on a position of the clutch and in turn the heating roller. Since the heating roller is moved to contact or separate from the photosensitive belt by a single motor, the driving device has advantages in that the entire system structure can be simplified and the manufacturing cost of the apparatus can be lowered.
