Abstract: Techniques discussed herein facilitate configuration of network slices for a User Equipment (UE) supporting constraints on simultaneous operation of slices. Such a technique may comprise: receiving a registration request message to request registration on a set of requested network slices;
registering the UE to a set of allowed network slices; and generating a registration accept message for transmission indicating the UE is registered to the set of allowed network slices, wherein the registration accept message indicates slice compatibility information for each allowed network slice of the set of allowed network slices for the UE, wherein the slice compatibility information for each allowed network slice indicates whether or not other configured network slices of a set of configured network slices are compatible with the configured network slice for simultaneous operation by the UE.-

Abstract: Techniques are described for slice based public land mobile network selection. An example method includes a network node of a home public land mobile network (HPLMN) transmitting configuration information to a user equipment (UE) to configure the UE to receive enhanced slice-based steering of roaming (SoR) information during a registration process with a visited public land mobile network (VPLMN). The method further includes the network node determining that the UE is registering with the VPLMN. The method further includes the network node transmitting the enhanced slice-based SoR information to the UE based on the determination that the UE is registering with the VPLMN.

Abstract: Emergency services support is indicated to roaming devices in a wireless network. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message from the wireless network indicating at least one public land mobile network (PLMN) that provides emergency services support for devices in limited service. The UE may store, in a non-volatile memory (NVM), an identifier of the at least one PLMN in a whitelist of limited service emergency services support. In response to a trigger in a roaming limited service condition of the UE, the UE may establish an emergency session with a selected PLMN based on the whitelist of limited service emergency services support.

Abstract: Re-connecting to a first radio access network (RAN) of a first radio access technology (RAT) may include initially connecting to the first RAN. A connection associated with a voice call may then be connected that includes connecting to a RAN of a second RAT. In response to the voice call connecting to the second RAN, information for both a frequency and a cell associated with connecting to the first RAN may be stored. An end to the voice call may be identified. In response to determining that the voice call has ended, a timer may be generated at the UE that comprises a specified time period and the timer and the information stored for both the frequency and the cell associated with connecting to the first RAN may be utilized to re-connect to the first RAN.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a first authentication request in response to a first triggering request from the UE to a mobility management node of a first Tracking Area (TA) in which the UE is located. In some embodiments, the UE may prepare and store an authentication response according to the first authentication request. In response to determining that the UE has moved from the first TA to a second TA, the UE may abort a sending of the authentication response, and may send the stored authentication response according to the first authentication request to the mobility management node of the second TA in response to the receipt of the second authentication request and in further response to a determination that a given parameter of each of the first and second authentication requests are the same.

Abstract: A technique for determining that a wireless device supports using multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) cards to establish multiple connections to wireless networks, generating a multi-SIM capability message, transmitting the multi-SIM capability message to a first wireless network; and receiving a registration accept signal in response to the multi-SIM capability message, wherein the registration accept signal indicates a first set of features supported by the first wireless network. In another aspect, a technique for a wireless system to receive, via a network interface, a multiple subscriber identity module (multi-SIM) capability message from a wireless device connected to a first wireless network; generate a registration accept signal in response to receiving the multi-SIM capability message, wherein the registration accept signal indicates a first set of features supported by the first wireless network; and send, via the network interface, the registration accept signal to the wireless device.
