摘要: The present invention relates to an energy curable aqueous composition (X) comprising (a) Water; (b) At least a water-insoluble ethylenically unsaturated compound (A); (c) At least one (meth)acrylic polymer (B1) containing ionic functional groups that are at least partly neutralized by a neutralizing agent (C) and/or at least one (meth)acrylic hybrid (B2) containing ionic functional groups that are at least partly neutralized by a neutralizing agent (C); and (d) At least one nonionic emulsifier (D) comprising alternating polyalkylene oxide segments, said nonionic emulsifier (D) having an HLB value of at least 4.5. Materials of the invention are suitable for the preparation of inks, overprint varnishes or coating compositions.

摘要: The present invention relates to an aqueous resin composition (I) comprising at least one polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated polyurethane polymer (A), optionally, at least one polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated compound (B) different from (A), and optionally, at least one neutralizing agent (C); wherein the polyurethane polymer (A) has a weight average molecular weight of less than 15.000 Daltons and is obtained from the reaction of: at least one polyisocyanate (i); at least one hydrophilic compound (ii) containing at least one reactive group capable to react with isocyanate groups and at least one group which is capable to render the polyurethane polymer dispersible or soluble in aqueous medium either directly or after reaction with a neutralizing agent (C) to provide a salt; at least one compound (iii) containing essentially one reactive group capable to react with isocyanate groups and at least one copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group; at least one compound (iv) containing at least two reactive groups capable to react with isocyanate groups; and, optionally, at least one chain extender (v) containing at least two reactive groups capable to react with isocyanate groups, which chain extender is different from compounds (iv); and wherein the non-volatile components of the resin composition (I) after drying are re-dispersible or re-soluble in water at 25° C. The present invention further relates to radiation curable compositions comprising a resin composition of the invention for use in coating applications or graphic art applications.

摘要: Radiation curable aqueous compositions (I) with reduced photo-yellowing are provided. Said composition comprises water, at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound and at least one carboxylic acid hydrazide-containing compound (H) in an amount sufficient to reduce photo-yellowing. Materials of the invention have the advantage that they help to reduce photo-yellowing. They may have a beneficial effect on long term yellowing caused by weathering too. Compositions (I) of the invention allow a better quality control of products and materials just after cure. Materials of the invention can be used to make coatings, inks, paints, varnishes and adhesives and they are further suitable for the making of composites, gel coats, 3D-curing and the making of 3D-objects in general.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to the field of radiation curable compositions comprising (meth)acrylated acrylic polymers comprising pendant hydroxyl groups, methods for making these radiation curable compositions and their uses. In particular, the present invention refers to a radiation curable composition (X) comprising at least one (meth)acrylated acrylic polymer (AA) comprising pendant hydroxyl groups which is the reaction product of: a) At least one water-insoluble(meth)acrylic polymer (AP) comprising pendant hydroxyl groups which is the reaction product of: a1) at least one hydroxy functional ethylenically unsaturated monomer (AP1), and a2) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (AP2) which is different from (AP1), and b) At least one isocyanate group-containing monoadduct (MA) comprising at least one (meth)acrylate group and which attaches to the water-insoluble(meth)acrylic polymer (AP) comprising pendant hydroxyl groups by an urethane linkage and which is the reaction product of: b1) at least one polyisocyanate (MA1), and b2) at least one hydroxy functional (meth)acrylate monomer (MA2), wherein the equivalent ratio of NCO groups to OH groups of the radiation curable composition (X) is from 1:0.5 to 1:10 and the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the radiation curable composition (X) after the acrylation is at least 10° C.
