Abstract: In a method of calibrating a gyro sensor mounted on a vehicle for measuring an angular velocity in a rotating direction generated about an axis of a vertical direction, a lateral shift amount detection process of detecting lateral shift amounts of the vehicle with respect to magnetic markers laid in a road, an azimuth estimation process of estimating, when the vehicle passes over a laying location where two magnetic markers are laid, an azimuth of the vehicle by a calculation process with the lateral shift amounts with respect to the two magnetic markers taken as input values, and a calibration process of calibrating the gyro sensor by using the azimuth of the vehicle estimated by the azimuth estimation process, are performed.

Abstract: Installation cart for laying a magnetic marker in a road to achieve driving assist control on a vehicle side has boring drill at each of front and rear of vehicle body, the boring drill boring accommodation hole as a laying position for the magnetic marker in road surface, is capable of boring accommodation holes at two locations with a predetermined space without moving in a state of being parked at any position, and is capable of performing efficient laying operation without requiring, for example, positioning of installation cart for enhancing accuracy of a space between these accommodation holes at two locations forming the laying positions.

Abstract: To install, in or on a road surface of a road, a magnetic marker having retained in its outer perimeter an RFID tag including an antenna for wireless communication, an arrangement step of accommodating the magnetic marker in an accommodation hole provided to be bored in the road surface and a formation step of providing the magnetic marker with a protecting part for isolating the antenna from water are performed. With these steps, even if the periphery of the magnetic marker is submerged in water after installation, high communication performance of the RFID tag can be kept.

Abstract: A minute magnetic body detecting sensor includes: a magnetic impedance element, with two magneto-sensitive bodies disposed in substantially two-dimensional directions such that an angle formed by respective sensitive axes is substantially 90 degrees; and a signal processing device, including a signal processing circuit, processing and amplifying damped oscillating voltages output by the two magneto-sensitive bodies that detected a local magnetic field due to a minute magnetic body that is a foreign substance, two square operating elements, squaring output signals, an adder, adding the squared signals, and a square root operating element, performing square root computation on the addition output and outputting a square root output, and enables high-precision detection of existence or non-existence of a minute magnetic body without detection overlooking.

Abstract: A magnetic impedance sensor comprises an amorphous wire 1 of a magneto-sensitive material as the magneto-impedance element, a pulse oscillator means 2 that alternately reverses and outputs a basic pulse current and a compensating pulse current with polarity opposite to the basic pulse current in predetermined periods, and a signal processing means 3 that converts an alternate current voltage generated in response to a magnetic field intensity around the amorphous wire by a magnetic impedance effect of the amorphous wire according to the pulse current into a magnetic signal voltage in response to the magnetic field intensity, and outputs the magnetic signal voltage. Since the amorphous wire 1 is repeatedly reversely magnetized in the u and v circumferential directions, due to compensating the negative pulse current, the magnetic sensor with excellent linear characteristics are obtained.
