摘要: An image recognition apparatus determines whether an image of a pedestrian is captured in a frame of video data captured by a vehicle mounted camera. A pre-processing unit determines a detection block from within a frame, and cuts out block image data corresponding to the detection block from the frame. Block data with a predetermined size that is smaller than the size of the detection block is created from the block image data. A neuro calculation unit executes neuro calculation on the block data, and calculates an output synapse. A post-processing unit determines whether a pedestrian exists within the detection block on the basis of the output synapse. When a pedestrian is detected, the post-processing unit creates result data, which is obtained by superimposing the detection block within which the pedestrian was detected onto the frame.

摘要: A drive control device is mounted to a hybrid electric vehicle that has an engine and a motor as a running power source, wherein the hybrid electric vehicle runs under a plurality of running modes that is switched in accordance with accelerator operation. The drive control device specifies a present position of the vehicle. The drive control device defines a schedule of the accelerator operation for each of a plurality of sections in a route from an origin to a destination in order to achieve an enhanced fuel efficient running of the vehicle. The drive control device displays a recommended accelerator operation for a present section of the plurality of sections, in which section the vehicle is presently located, in accordance with the schedule of the accelerator operation and the present position of the vehicle.

摘要: In a hybrid vehicle, an ECU collects data of (i) an amount of acquisition electrical power acquired when regeneratively charging a battery and (ii) an amount of requirement electrical power required for operating a motor, for every road section in association with a travel of the vehicle, and records the collected data in a storage device. Thereafter, when a travel course the vehicle is going to travel includes a road section where the amount of acquisition electrical power is greater than an acquisition-related threshold value or a road section where the amount of requirement electrical power is greater than a requirement-related threshold value, a re-plan of a control schedule for the engine and the motor is executed. In contrast, when the travel course does not include such a road section, a re-plan of the control schedule is prohibited.

摘要: In a rate control system, an MMU temporarily stores in a mass storage an input bit stream including compressed and encoded data which is compressed and encoded according to the JPEG2000 standard. The MMU then reads out data from the mass storage and outputs it to a multiplexer according to readout control signals. The multiplexer multiplexes the data and outputs the result as an output bit stream. A bit truncation controller comprises an image quality controller for selecting a target to be coded according to target image quality; and a rate controller for controlling a rate according to a target rate. A layer splitting controller outputs to the MMU the readout control signal for generating an output bit stream which is divided into a plurality of layers.
