Provided is a control valve for a variable capacity compressor, the control valve including: a valve body including a crank-chamber port, a discharge port, a suction port, a control channel formed inside the control valve such that the crank-chamber port and the discharge port communicate with each other, and a first bleeding channel formed such that the crank-channel port and the suction port communicate with each other; an operating unit provided in the valve body and including a second bleeding channel communicated from a center area to a side surface of the operating unit; and a driving unit provided in the valve body and connected to the operating unit to enable the operating unit to reciprocally move according to a current applied by an external source.

The present research relates to controlling rendering of multi-object or multi-channel audio signals. The present research provides a method and apparatus for controlling rendering of multi-object or multi-channel audio signals based on spatial cues in a process of decoding the multi-object or multi-channel audio signals. To achieve the purpose, the method suggested in the research controls rendering in a spatial cue domain in the process of decoding the multi-object or multi-channel audio signals.

Provided is a method and apparatus for generating a side information bitstream of a multi-object audio signal. The apparatus for generating a side information bitstream of a multi-object audio signal includes a spatial cue information input unit configured to receive spatial cue information generated in an encoder of the multi-object audio signal, a preset information input unit configured to receive preset information for the multi-object audio signal, and a side information bitstream generator configured to generate the side information bitstream based on the spatial cue information and the preset information. The side information bitstream includes a header region and a frame region, and the preset information is included in the frame region.
Abstract:
Provided are a method for creating, editing and reproducing a multi-object audio content file for an object-based audio service and a method for creating audio presets. The multi-object audio content file creating method includes creating a plurality of frames for each audio object forming an audio content; and creating a multi-object audio content file by grouping and storing the frames according to each reproduction time. This invention can enhance functions of the object-based audio service and make it easy to access to each audio object of an audio content file.

Disclosed are operating methods of a server and a node, and apparatuses thereof, and more particularly, to operating methods of a virtual machine server and a virtual machine node, and apparatuses thereof. The operating method of the virtual machine server according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: generating index information of blocks for booting a virtual machine in a virtual machine image; generating list information of neighboring nodes for a target node; and transferring the index information and the list information to the target node.

Conductivity improvements in III-V semiconductor devices are described. A first improvement includes a barrier layer that is not coextensively planar with a channel layer. A second improvement includes an anneal of a metal/Si, Ge or SiliconGermanium/III-V stack to form a metal-Silicon, metal-Germanium or metal-SiliconGermanium layer over a Si and/or Germanium doped III-V layer. Then, removing the metal layer and forming a source/drain electrode on the metal-Silicon, metal-Germanium or metal-SiliconGermanium layer. A third improvement includes forming a layer of a Group IV and/or Group VI element over a III-V channel layer, and, annealing to dope the III-V channel layer with Group IV and/or Group VI species. A fourth improvement includes a passivation and/or dipole layer formed over an access region of a III-V device.

A magnetic memory having memory elements each with two magnetic tunneling junction (MTJ) devices is disclosed. The devices in each element are differentially programmed with complementary data. The devices for each element are stacked one above the other so that the element requires no more substrate area than a single MTJ device.

Disclosed is an electrode active material comprising: a core layer capable of repeating lithium intercalation/deintercalation; an amorphous carbon layer; and a crystalline carbon layer, successively, wherein the core layer comprises at least two core particles. A secondary battery comprising the same electrode active material is also disclosed. The electrode active material can inhibit variations in volume of the core layer that may occur during repeated charge/discharge cycles, since the core layer comprising at least two core particles, each core particle having an increased area that is in contact with the carbon layer coated thereon. Therefore, the battery using the electrode active material can provide improved cycle life characteristics.

Provided is an availability prediction method for a high availability. The method includes calculating a basic survival probability that the other node survives until a failure on one node of two nodes constituting a cluster is fixed, and determining an optimal number of nodes meeting a preset reference availability probability by calculating an availability probability for a predetermined range of the number of nodes on the basis of the basic survival probability. The method determines the number of nodes in the high availability cluster so as to match a reference availability probability, and is able to accomplish an optimal configuration of a cluster by calculating the availability probabilities for combinations between active node and passive nodes and between head nodes and switches.
